  • I tend to avoid films made to promote protestant heresies.

  • I recommend a Catholic movie instead...like this one:

Please ignore ALL of my posts. I was naive during my time posting on this forum and didn’t know any better. I retract and deeply regret any and all uncharitable or erroneous statements I ever made here.

Thank you for recommending that.  I'm getting "Flywheel" (a used car dealer who decides to go honest) got to see that!  ha ha ha

  • Yeah. I wouldn't support anything that tries to promote a Protestant having a "great" relationship with God.

  • Flywheel was their first movie and it was pretty good, but "Fireproof" was awful!  I mean, o.k., the basic message makes sense in a general way (love others the way God loves you and you know, you aren't very good at that if you don't love God), but come on;  this movie seems like it was made by the same regime that gives us most Hollywood junk, that teaches us to hate whites and men and gives women and blacks a place in our cultural that they could never occupy on their own.  O.k., so twist "the nations" and "gender" all over the place, but we'll keep religion straight and oh by the way, fashion will actually flatter Northern European Whites (o.k., I mean gee, isn't that a great deal?) No!  It isn't!  Particularly when it's about work, friendship and marriage.  There's an order to things and if you tear ancestry and gender to pieces, how are you supposed to get the rest of it right?

This reminds me of "The Exorcism of Emily Rose."  Another movie that takes place in a Midwestern Christian Community, flatters light skinned, blonde and brown haired Europeans with fashion and seems to be somewhat pro-Christian, but in the end, uses all of that to convince you that God won't protect you from Satan!  At least not until your dead and gone to Heaven.  In the meantime it's open season on you!

Both of these movies seem to me like poison served with milk and cookies.
