Clark and Memento, I've PMed you both.

For some reason, my PM function WAS off. It's fixed now.

Our car payment is $260.

A couple of notes on things people have suggested:

1) We already do receive food stamps. We got them when I was only working part-time, then gave them up when I came into a very lucrative full-time job. We had to get them back when I lost that job unfairly and totally suddenly.

2) I have applied for disability and been rejected because, in the words of the agent who handled my case, I should just "go get" (his words) a job where I don't have to stand for very long, or a job where I can sit at a computer all day. Sure... I should just GO GET a job in fields I have no past experience in, or a job I have no skill set for. Yes, in this economy, I should just "go get" one of these imaginary, hypothetical jobs.

We will be praying for you!
Not for nothing, but we have found ourselves in similar situations, and usually God is working something better for us. We just have to push through the rough patch a bit.
Have faith and consider the lilies. Our prayers are with you.
