  • I know this has been brought up before, but give me a break!

Like the Novus Ordo, they are destined for failure because of their aversion to Tradition the Catholic Faith.

Catholic Answers is in the middle of a severe financial shortfall. To protect the ministry's future, we have had to take several very painful steps:

We have had to let several staff members go.
The remaining staff has taken pay cuts averaging 26%.
We will not be filling additional positions to expand the ministry's work.
We have had to cut back on our current apostolic efforts because we simply do not have the people.

Even after making these cuts, we still need to raise about $300,000.

We very much need help from our forum members to overcome the current shortfall and get the ministry back where it needs to be.

Summer is always a difficult time for Catholic Answers, and this summer has been especially hard on the ministry.

Please be as generous as you can at this time.

    Thank you for your generosity.

  • They don't want an honest dialogue with Catholic Traditionalists:

which is why you should give them NOTHING.

    Nice blog. Looks interesting.

Though I would never have bothered with even attempting reasonable dialogue with these liberals.

  • I wonder where all of their people will go once the forum collapses.

I hope they don't come here and start complaining to Matthew that all of us are "antisemitic."

  • May Conciliar Answers die a slow, painful death.
"This principle is most certain: The non-Christian cannot in any way be Pope. The reason for this is that he cannot be head of what he is not a member. Now, he who is not a Christian is not a member of the Church, and a manifest heretic is not a Christian, as is clearly taught by St. Cyprian, St. Athanasius, St. Augustine, St. Jerome, and others. Therefore, the manifest heretic cannot be Pope." -- St. Robert Bellarmine

  • I take immeasurable glee in receiving these begging emails from them.  I got suspended on pseudo-CAF several times before I finally decided to quit banging my head against the wall and quit going on there.

    They have paid staff members?

It was my understanding that Karl Keating was taking six figures per year home. It was openly discussed.

  • I know I posted about this in the past, that something very, very odd was going on over there.

I had an 'in' over there and offered to help them at a substantial discount on an IT issue they had.

Since I did what they needed for a living I knew exactly what it would cost, and their appeals for money concerned me because I (naively) thought they were being taken advantage of because of the amount they claimed they needed.

They didnt really want help with this it turns out. They just wanted to pass the hat around (funny, if I recall correctly the number then was about 300K as well).

They are not good stewards with the vast donations they receive.

Oh, I know of Mr. Keating very well. Our first-born's godfather worked at CA as a well-known apologist for many years. (Emphasis on the past-tense of "work.") Again, Mr. Keating is a paid staff member, but he's certainly no professional. Better stated, he's no expert in anything having to do with Catholicism.

I thought it's rather protestant ------ disgusting, really.

You can give them something:  your advice!  They won't want it,
of course, but you can give it to them anyway.  And they'll delete it.

Karl Keating, who like you say, is not qualified for anything
in regards to Catholicism, is a professional charlatan, a con
artist.   He reminds me of Karl Marx and Karl Rahner.  They
spell their names with a "K".
