  • If the snow weren't powdery (surprise!) and it weren't so bitter cold, I could have gathered quite a bit of snow off all the cement surfaces and made a real snowman.

    The snowman above is, sadly, only 8 inches tall in real life.

    The big kids and I went outside to experience it, but we could only take about 10 minutes before exposed skin began to go numb. I could barely take 20 photos of it, since using my camera required taking off one of my gloves.
