    Because, being the owner of CathInfo, I have a higher profile and a bigger target painted on my back than any other member.
    When one wants to do harm against an Internet foe, having a convenient method of browsing through ALL his posts is an invaluable resource -- which I happily deny my would-be attackers, slanderers, persecutors, etc. My posts are all public, but you have to sort through 1/2 a million (actually, it's well over 565,000) posts to find them all :)

    • I think it's bizarre to harp on a mishap that was years in the past.  Really, who cares about Matthew's water leak?  
    In 1987 I forgot to pay my electric bill and got fined by Niagara-Mohawk.  My landlord made me pay the transfer fees, too.  I was out $300.  So???

    Good answer.  You are absolutely right.  It is an invaluable resource.  I use it all the time.  :-)
    Saying that, characters like ggreg are also invaluable in that they make forums bloody interesting.  It is dull as dishwater reading a forum where everybody just agrees with each other.  It is the big mouths who make it interesting.
    Incidently, I currently believe the moon landings where faked.  The character that most convinced me was Bart Sibrel.  I do not believe in flat earth though.  I think it is bollocks.
