It's almost scary out there today.
We're having 36 MPH wind -- that's on the weather station, not at my house, where it's no doubt much worse. (We live on a hill among farmland -- no windbreaks for us)
I wish I had a wind gauge to measure it!
The wind is pretty constant; the gusts are approximately twice as strong.
You can feel the wind trying to push you around.
One neighbor's carport had the roof torn off -- you could see the roof pointing up towards the sky.
Winds are from the northwest, shifting almost to the southwest. VERY, very strange. Usually it's either North or South around here. Let's just say it's not a usual direction.
I don't usually have super-strong, cold, dry winds coming in my office window. We often have that kind of strong, cold, dry wind coming in the OTHER side of the house all the time, whenever a Northern cold front blows in (which is very, very normal for Texas)
We're set to have unseasonably cold weather all this week. About 10 degrees below normal. That much I have no problem with :)
