Well maybe I misunderstood that he seemed to dismiss the sin of killing his wife. But another thing, sheen also praised John 23, and showed himself to be a charismatic liberal unwilling to admit the dangers of the council.
I believe Bishop Sheen changed, more or less, with the institution he was stuck in. He was very likeable so that could be considered :heretic:

A good clergyman does not equal friendly or nice though a good clergyman can be both without crossing a line. A good clergyman equals orthodox, solid, penitential, Eucharistic, Marian, prayer and fasting, lover of God, Church, himself and the souls in his care.
