  • They even have docuмentaries.

But if you're against movies, I'm ok with that of course. To find something decent it's like looking for a needle in a haystack.

    We tend to not bother.

  • We just saw 'The Road', and boy was that ever bleak and Godless.  What a totally depressing film.  It was just like that nuclear disaster movie on Youtube posted here.  Hopeless because there was no God.

In one scene they walk upon pearls from a smashed-up Jєωelry store.  That's when they should have made a rosary, and prayed.  Cormac McCarthy is a trophy of those who mock St. Patrick.

  • The last 3 movies I have seen are Conspiracy Theory( re: MKU), Jaws and the Godfather.

I guess it is debatable if a docuмentary qualifies as a movie.

  • The last film I saw in the theater was Apocalypto. Before that, Passion of the Christ. I bought the DVD's for The Departed and Hotel Rwanda also.

I also have DVD's of classics, such as The Godfather I and II and Key Largo. On Christmas Day I watched Miracle on 34th Street. According to the "Making of..." docuмentary that accompanies it, the screenwriter for that movie was inspired by the disgusting commercialism he saw while shopping for a present for his daughters in 1946. Can you imagine his reaction today?

  • Conspiracy Theory was good. According to director Richard Donner, Mel Gibson adlibbed the open sequence where he's driving the cab and talking with the passengers, including the scene with the nuns, when he calls the Vatican "an open scab" or something like that.

  • They have "Food Inc." as a 48hr  rental for $2.99 ... that's the movie about the truth about the food industry. I don't really want to see anything else, but I was shocked that this was available. It should be worth a look!

  • Sounds like a good idea. I heard of Food, Inc but I didn't have a chance to watch it until now.

  • We watched Food, Inc last night. It was very informative. I wish it had been longer as there's much more they could have said about our food and how bad it all is for us. They mostly focused on meats and commidity crops (corn, soybean, wheat).
