You get any 3 MP3s for free from Amazon.com's vast MP3 repertoire.

These are DRM-free, so they will play forever. They aren't tied to a license file, they aren't locked or restricted, etc.

Amazon.com is running a special promotion right now. These are legit MP3s, so although they're free, it's much better than "borrowing" from a friend or downloading illegal (pirated) MP3s.
The artists get their usual payment for each song downloaded, etc.

I tested it out -- it works perfectly! You don't even need a credit card, as long as you only buy (3) 99 cent songs! Just sign up for an Amazon.com account if you don't have one. All they ask you for is an e-mail address, password, and billing address.

And if you click the link above to get there, I also get a few cents per song. How about that!

I'm sure they would -- these are MP3s that play anywhere.

Ipods also support "restricted use" MP3s, I believe, but they shouldn't have a problem with unrestricted ones.
