When I did a search the front page came up only with Franz Joseph Glacier in NZ! I knew that couldn't be the right Franz Joseph.

Another search brought up the real man but were they the real story?

Franz Joseph was a public figure from childhood. Up until his death, he was probably the most depicted person of the 19th century - not least because the number of photographs and films grew rapidly during his reign. The Austrian National Library presently has more than 10,000 photographs, artworks and docuмents on the life of Franz Joseph. A selection of them will be shown in the exhibition. Also on show for the first time will be the original farewell letters written by Mary Vetsera, the lover of Crown Prince Rudolf, with whom she committed ѕυιcιdє. The letters were only discovered in 2015.

At the conclave after the death of Pope Leo XIII in 1903, it was expected that Cardinal Rampolla would be the next Pope, which would have been a great victory for the modernist faction. Actually, he was leading in votes when his election was suddenly vetoed. The Emperor Franz Josef of Austria-Hungary, through his representative the Cardinal of Krakow, exercised an age-old privilege and vetoed the election of Rampolla. The Emperor had been presented irrefutable evidence that the Cardinal, besides being a modernist, was a member of Fɾҽҽmαsσɳɾყ and Grand Master of the secret sect known as the Ordo Templi Orientalis.
