On Sunday last a priest in a church in Francis Street in Dublin, Ireland outed as a celebate ɧoɱosɛҳųαƖ in his Mass homily. He spoke in favour of ɧoɱosɛҳųαƖ marriage in an upcoming referendum in Ireland later this year. The congregation stood up and applauded him. (no website available yet)

Today on Radio Eireann's 'Liveline' they were speaking about the incident. Another priest phoned in to say "I support and am in favour of gαy Marriage. We are in a changing world and in a new direction under POPE FRANCIS."

As far as I am concerned, this Pope Francis of ours will be among those having to face Jesus with his input towards bringing in ɧoɱosɛҳųαƖ marriage to Ireland.
You think it cannot get worse and then it does, a standing ovation for ɧoɱosɛҳųαƖity during what they call a Catholic Mass.

My Jesus, mercy.

  • A world where a supposed Alter Christus is promoting fαɢɢօt "marriage" is a world favored by the Devil.

  • It is fruit of the NO.  Modern "Catholics" think they can redefine the faith based on cultural attitudes.  Frank is just the most egregious example of it.  It's not faith for them, just a modern world view.

Well described Marsha, 'redefine the faith based on cultural attitudes.' Perfect understanding.

In my experience in the Novus Ordo I never met a single true Catholic so I am not surprised about this. Something similar happened in my Novus Ordo Church when the heretical priest denied EENS from the pulpit, and some of the people cheered. It is possible that a few of the people around me had the true faith and I just did not know about it. But, whenever I have seen a poll done by the media asking Catholics what they believe all of them showed that most Catholics denied Church teachings, even the watered down Novus Ordo teachings were denied.
    R.I.P.
Please pray for the repose of my soul.

  • There are some true Catholics in the Novus Ordo from my experience, but the percentage is very low. Maybe 5% that know and believe the True Faith but don't have access to a TLM.

These people are not paying attention to the Pope. When the Pope said, "who am I to judge?" this was in reference to the sinner who was sincerely searching for God. This implies sorrow for one's sins. This implies trying to avoid te near occaisions of sin.
Anyone who uses the mass to "come out" is abusing the liturgy. The purpose of the liturgy is to praise God, not commit blasphemy.

  • They were quick to "excommunicate" Archbishop Lefebvre back in 1988 for disobedience while They were hiding and protecting rapists and child molesters.

The recent Synod of families was just a meeting to finalize what has been going on in these parishes.  During the Synod, they thought they were going to get applause and standing ovation.
This is about the destruction of families.  After Synod, it is getting worse.
There is legalized gαy marriage in our country because these ɧoɱosɛҳųαƖ priests and bishops have formed groups and have been pushing for this.

  • Pope Francis should publicly excommunicate the priest.
He broke his ordination promise of celibacy.

  • The same kind of "Catholics" who clapped and gave standing ovation weren't taught catechism, they were brainwashed to believe Jesus loves everyone but they forgot the part where Jesus says go and sin no more.   Also, many of them are divorced, had abortions, premarital marriage, and politics.

There is no doubt that when they did away with the 'penny catechism' after Vatican II, Catholic education ceased. That began about 40 years ago. Thus there are very few Catholics under 40 years of age who know the faith they think they have..

Alas, I know, for I am Irish and see who attends the NO Mass and the vast majority of them are ELDERLY, 50 years old and older. They were all brought up with proper Catholic education. In their cases, they still go to Mass but they have lost the faith they learned. That is the generation that nowadays would clap a priest who gives the appearance of being NICE.

It is a Godsend to read some of your posts members, a relief to know others out there see things as we do. Well said Viva, but how sad it is.

  • On the lighter side, recently I got a notice to attend the courts to be selected as a possible juror. As I am over 65 now I was exempt so ticked the box.

Nevertheless, I could not resist. I wrote on my reply: 'Who am I to judge.'
