Have libs and Neo-Caths lost ALL ability to write and speak clearly and coherently? Since VCII this idea has cropped up that one can simply string together a list of non-descript pious sounding phrases, weave them in and out around some amorphous concept like "dynamic" and voila! You spit out a "deep" and "inspiring" work of gold that means anything to everyone.
Words mean nothing to the modernist. Their definitions are as fluid and changing as they view dogma to be. After reading the mission statement, I truly haven't a clue what it means. It is just like reading a JPII encyclical. The mission statement is supposed to define your mission, your purpose for being. It is a very important statement. It is what you stand for. Here, who knows what the stand for. And I guess that is the point. This way they can stand for whatever they want, and it can be supported through 1 of the 1,000 interpretations of their vague mission statement. What it really says is that they stand for nothing. Just some vague vision of piety loosely related to Christianity.
This is the product of the modernist idea that religion is just sentiment based on an interior experience or feeling. Religion is all about feeling good. DEEPLY feeling good to the point you KNOW whatever caused this interior DEEP feeling of religious experience must be true. Sigh....
