  • From their Mission Statement:

    Quote
    C. Dynamic Orthodoxy. The University has embraced this concept as a policy standard for its life, thereby striving to promote and maintain a balanced commitment to truth and life in its faith community. The Way, the Truth, and the Life are fundamental concepts and guidelines for evaluating University priorities, staffing, and budgets and are understood as explicating dynamic orthodoxy. A way of life is promoted based on Christian truths as they are understood in light of Sacred Scripture and the Magisterium of the Catholic Church while always allowing for the development of the Church’s understanding of Revelation. These truths are lived out through the power and the gifts of the Holy Spirit emanating from the personal relationship with Jesus Christ. Therefore, “let there be unity in what is necessary, freedom in what is unsettled, and charity in any case.”10

  • There is nothing orthodox about the Vatican II dogma claiming Jєωs are saved while denying Jesus Christ or Jєωs don't need Jesus Christ to be saved. So by the very definition of neo-modernism, at least according to this article, the Conciliar Church has NOT retained orthodoxy of Catholic Dogma.

  • ....and what is orthodox about "speaking in tongues" such as what goes on at FUS? The only true speaking in tongues occurred at Pentecost. Nowhere else and at no other time do the early Church fathers mention "speaking in tongues", therefore, it is a very good indication that it has not happened since Pentecost. And to "speak in tongues" implies the Sacraments given to us by our Lord and handed down through our Church fathers is not sufficient gifts....as if the Sacraments are not sufficient in helping keep a person in the Lord's grace.

  • Have libs and Neo-Caths lost ALL ability to write and speak clearly and coherently? Since VCII this idea has cropped up that one can simply string together a list of non-descript pious sounding phrases, weave them in and out around some amorphous concept like "dynamic" and voila! You spit out a "deep" and "inspiring" work of gold that means anything to everyone.

Words mean nothing to the modernist. Their definitions are as fluid and changing as they view dogma to be. After reading the mission statement, I truly haven't a clue what it means. It is just like reading a JPII encyclical. The mission statement is supposed to define your mission, your purpose for being. It is a very important statement. It is what you stand for. Here, who knows what the stand for. And I guess that is the point. This way they can stand for whatever they want, and it can be supported through 1 of the 1,000 interpretations of their vague mission statement. What it really says is that they stand for nothing. Just some vague vision of piety loosely related to Christianity.

This is the product of the modernist idea that religion is just sentiment based on an interior experience or feeling. Religion is all about feeling good. DEEPLY feeling good to the point you KNOW whatever caused this interior DEEP feeling of religious experience must be true. Sigh....
