    • I agree that we should pray for him, but to say that praying for him means he will be a good Pope is illogical. We prayed for Benedict and he was lousy.

    • Dear Servus, Exactly.

    God gives us all free will.
    Francis I has rejected God's truth.

    However much anyone prays for Francis I, there is no guarantee that he will become a good man.

    He is not good now.
    Prayer may or may not cause him to save his soul.

    But we need to pray for the souls that he will lead away from God.

    If he deprives himself of salvation, it is unfortunate.
    But how dare he deprive others of salvation by his heresies.

    Let us pray that God will grant us a genuine Pope.
