  • If you've read any of his books, please share how Conciliar he is. For example, if I read them, will there be citations to V2 docuмents and the rest of the "renewal"? Does he present the teachings of St. Ignatius under the guise of "renewal"? EWTN's embrace of him raises my skeptical antennae.

  • Maybe you can find one of his books at a local bookstore or library.  Or find a chapter on line.

I'm suspicious of novus ordites being presented on EWTN.  What makes me so suspicious is the manner in which they refer to VII as if it was actually Pentecost.

Why not just reread a Catholic classic like any book by St. Alphonse Liguori or reread St. Francis de Sales.  Or even try finding a 19th century book on Ebay - a hidden gem.

If you go ahead and buy a book by this NO priest, read it and tell us all about it.

  • I say flip a coin.  Heads you buy one of his books and read it, tails you don't.

My own opinion is, from looking him up online, I would forego any of his books for now, not out of any pronounced dislike but because I have a lot of traditional reading still to be done.

  • I took a look at this today:

    http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/0824522915/ref=as_li_tl?ie=UTF8&camp=1789&creative=390957&creativeASIN=0824522915&linkCode=as2&tag=httpwwwchanco-20

I examined it closely and didn't see any references to the Hippie Council or to the Conciliarist popes. It actually looks very good. I might just get it.
