I could only bear 3 minutes of this--it seemed like an hour.  Hideous.  What happened, did the lady ever lose her composure?

It is horrible, and those kids need a hard punishment.  I pray with all my heart that my children never, ever do something like that.

It seems like public school busses are generally infested with demons.  Mine have never used them, but the stories I have heard for years and years...

Public school busses are horrible. When I was growing up, though, every school official, from the nurse to the teacher to the principal, had a wooden paddle in their desk drawer and would never hesitate to use it. I do not know when this stopped, but growing up in West Texas every school I went to was the same- every teacher could take you in the hall and whip your butt any time they wanted. Funny how we didn't start getting police in schools til they took away all the paddles....

Anyways, yah school busses are bad. We would sit in back, crack a window and smoke pot. But I think public schools in general are the worst things we could subject our children to. Homeschooling or church schooling in my opinion are the only ways to go. Imagine these children acting like that in a Catholic school, with a ruler-wielding nun in the room!

We move to nice neighborhoods and associate with certain people because we desire to be around people like ourselves- that's natural. Yet only in public school are kids from all creeds, colors and social backgrounds thrown together and forced to associate with people they normally wouldn't and it causes so many problems. Sorry but I don't want my fine, upstanding child being forced to associate with the kids from the ghetto across the tracks, or anyone else I normally wouldn't want them to associate with. Eh, anyways, I forgot my point. I'm bored at work and trying to make time go faster.

Homeschooling you have more control what goes on, but I wouldn't put my trust in church schooling except in very exceptional circuмstances.

BTW, where would I find a ruler-wielding nun nowadays and don't nuns have to follow the law of the land? You're dreaming!

How boring! I would much prefer to mix with people of different cultures.
It never did our family any harm at all. To each his own, but....

On what grounds would a Catholic school exclude children of different colours and social backgrounds. Thank God that was not the case for mine. They grew up learning to associate with all kinds. Now they are fine, upstanding adults; not without some occasional corporal punishment.

Help of Christians, guard our land from assault or inward stain,
Let it be what God has planned, His new Eden where You reign.

  • Here in the People's Republic of California, we have a thing called State Law,
whereby a parent or a teacher cannot use physical force on a child, lest the
"perpetrator" be answerable to the law, by sentence to community service, fine
    or even prison.

A parent can only use an OPEN hand (not like Karate) like a slap, and it can
only be used ONCE,  it has to be on the rear end (butt), and it cannot leave a
mark on the child's skin. If any one of those 4 requirements are broken, it's
    trouble time for the parent.

In elementary schools, in 1993 (+/-) they took away corporal punishment from
school principals. Within 5 years, the "school police" was installing shotguns in
    their squad cars.

Take away the rod, and bring in the artillery.

    That's Communism for you.
