The first "Catholic" American politician to publicly declare his "personal opposition" to abortion whilst still "supporting a woman's right to choose." I certainly would not want to go to my Particular Judgment with that on my soul.

I've spent the better part of the day reminding various family members of this fact as they succuмb to the temptation to join the parade of eulogies surrounding this man for nor better reason (I am convinced) than his strong physical resemblance to my departed, saintly grandfather (a similarity that I can assure you is only skin deep).

Even worse, I had to hear my (former) bishop repeatedly natter on on how he was a "good" Catholic in light of his postion on abortion. Truly sickening.

Now we have his son the gov mansion who is an open adulterer and pro-sodomy, abortion on demand and everything else about as anti-catholic as you can be. Not too mention a self-absorbed, ego maniac who spits on the Constitution when it comes to gun" control" and many other issues.

Compared to his son, Mario was truly a "good" Catholic. :rolleyes:

Nado, you seem to be operating on actual logic rather than trad logic.  In the trad world, anything you don't like is some how Jєωιѕн, no matter how little sense that makes.  

Even though he was a Novus Ordo Catholic he played on the Jєωιѕн team (like John Paul II).

While I myself have seen no positive evidence to make me believe that Cuomo was a Jєω, I have seen positive evidence that you, Sigismund, consider that blessed giant of the Eastern Fathers, St. John Chrysostom, to have been an "αnтι-ѕємιтє;" so you'll pardon me for taking your criticisms of "trad logic" with an especially large grain of salt (and advising others to do the same).

Well said. And this allows me to segue into a comment that would have been difficult to make before your post in response to Ziggy.

Cuomo might not have been a Jєω, but he certainly thought like one. Actually the entire culture seems to have become Jєωιѕн since most do not cling to the rock of solid doctrine. The 20th Century, and the current one have certainly been Jєωιѕн Centuries. It fully blossomed in the '70s when Woody Allen made the cover of Time Magazine. In less than 30 years the elite are playing with children and the middle and poor are playing with porn. This sɛҳuąƖ relativism along with the first part of the sɛҳuąƖ revolution made legal abortion mandatory and continues to make it necessary. It may not be the greater problem since abortion is murder carried out by mothers, but it most certainly is the a priori. In other words, as long as the sɛҳuąƖ cesspool is allowed to incubate, abortion is going to be considered necessary and you will never be able to convince the greater culture of its evil.

sɛҳuąƖ liberation is a from of political control. And this is nothing new.
