Blessed Anna-Maria Taigi stated in regards to this terrible Three Days of Darkness Chastisement:
"God will send two punishments: one will be in the form of wars, revolutions and other evils; it shall originate on earth. The other will be sent from Heaven. There shall come over the whole earth an intense darkness lasting three days and three nights. Nothing can be seen, and the air will be laden with pestilence which will claim mainly, but not only, the enemies of religion. It will be impossible to use any man-made lighting during this darkness, except blessed candles. He, who out of curiosity, opens his window to look out, or leaves his home, will fall dead on the spot. During these three days, people should remain in their homes, pray the Rosary and beg God for mercy."
"All the enemies of the Church, whether known or unknown, will perish over the whole earth during that universal darkness, with the exception of a few whom God will soon convert. The air shall be infected by demons who will appear under all sorts of hideous forms."

After the three days of darkness, St. Peter and St. Paul, having come down from Heaven, will preach in the whole world and designate a new Pope. A great light will flash from their bodies and will settle upon the cardinal who is to become Pope. Christianity, then, will spread throughout the world. He is the Holy Pontiff, chosen by God to withstand the storm. At the end, he will have the gift of miracles, and his name shall be praised over the whole earth. Whole nations will come back to the Church and the face of the earth will be renewed. Russia, England, and China will come into the Church." "The death of the impenitent persecutors of the Church will take place during the three days of darkness. He who out lives the darkness and the fear of these three days will think that he is alone on earth, because the whole world will be covered with cadavers."

Blessed Mary of Jesus, Crucified (19th Century) (the holy relics of this palestinian nun were in Malta this October 2004)

"During a darkness lasting three days the people given to evil will perish so that only one fourth of mankind will survive. The clergy, too, will be greatly reduced in number, as most of them will die in defense of the faith of their country."

The sound of the furious hurricane was heard over the whole earth. Fear and terror struck not only men, but the very beast."

"There will come three days of complete darkness. Only blessed candles made of wax will give some light during this horrible darkness. One candle will last for three days, but they will not give light in the houses of the Godless. Lightening will penetrate your houses, but it will not put out the blessed candles. Neither wind, nor storm, nor earthquake will put out the blessed candles."

I suppose this doesn't look very comforting on the face of it, but it will be the end of all this terrible evil upon evil and I find comfort in that. It is actually a great gift of mercy from God for His friends. The problem will be for those who think they are His friends and didn't take the time to make sure they were, that He was at the top of their priority list.

Marie Julie Jahenny of La Fraudais (19th century, France)
She had five wounds of Our Lord. As a result she was called "The Breton Stigmatist". She had the marvellous gift recognizing Eucharistic bread from ordinary bread, objects that were blessed and those that were not ; relics and to say where they came from, and finally to understand in several language hymns and liturgical prayers. During a five year period from December 28, 1875 she survived only on Holy Communion. As Dr. Imbert-Gourbeyre recorded, during this whole period, there were no liquid or solid excretions. She was completely insensitive to pain or intense light during her ecstasies. Some of these ecstasies were accompanied by levitation; at that moment she was ecstatically light.
She had a vision of a dialogue between Our Lord and Lucifer and the latter said :
"I will attack the Church. I will overthrow the Cross, I will decimate the people, I will deposit a great weakness of Faith in hearts. There will also be A GREAT DENIAL OF RELIGION. For a time I will be MASTER of all things, everything will be under MY CONTROL, even Your temple and all Your people."
"Saint Michael says that Satan will have possession of everything for some time and that he will reign completely over everything ; that all goodness, Faith, Religion will be buried in the tomb. . . Satan and his own will triumph with joy, but after this triumph, the Lord will in His turn gather His own people and will REIGN and TRIUMPH OVER EVIL and WILL RAISE UP from the tomb the buried Church, the prostrated Cross. . . Marie-Julie saw that "there will not remain any vestige of the Holy Sacrifice, no apparent trace of faith. CONFUSION will be everywhere..."
"All the works approved by the infallible Church will cease to exist as they are today for a time. In this sorrowful annihilation, brilliant signs will be manifested on earth. If because of the wickedness of men Holy Church will be in darkness, the Lord will also send darkness that will stop the wicked in their search of wickedness. . . "
On November 27, 1902 and May 10, 1904, Our Lord and Our Lady announced the conspiracy to invent the "New Mass":
«I give you a WARNING. The disciples who are not of My Gospel are now working hard to remake according to their ideas and under the influence of the enemy of souls a MASS that contains words that are ODIOUS in My sight.»
«When the fatal hour arrives when the faith of my priests is put to the test, it will be (these texts) that will be celebrated in this SECOND period... The FIRST period is (the one) of my priesthood which exists since Me. The SECOND is (the one) of the persecution when the ENEMIES of the Faith and of Holy Religion (will impose their formulas) in the book of the second celebration.. These infamous spirits are those who crucified me and are awaiting Tthe kingdom of THE NEW MESSIAH.»
Marie-Julie announced the three days of darkness during which the infernal powers will be loosed and will execute all the enemies of God. "The crisis will explode suddenly; the punishments will be shared by all and will succeed one another without interruption... "( January 4, 1884).
"The three days of darkness « will be on a THURSDAY, FRIDAY AND SATURDAY. Days of the Most Holy Sacrament, of the Cross and Our Lady. . . .» three days less one night."

Exactly. There are prophecies which say that satan will get it just when he thinks he's won. And when we think all is lost, it will be restored. Evil being what it is, I wonder that anyone would wish to put off the day when it is wiped out. Even some hardened sinners will be converted in the three days. I see it as a totally good thing, even though it will be a tough time, but anymore tough times are here to stay---until after the three days. Jesus said when we see these days, we are to lift up our heads, because our redemption draweth nigh.

If I were single and had no family members, then I would look forward for the day when evil is wiped out. I am not so much afraid for my life. But I dread this day because I don't want to see my family members suffer or die infront of me. I often think how much better it would be if I had no family members or loved ones so that I don't have to ever watch them die.

So it is just the ticket for you, Magdalene, cause anyone that is with you will not die. But one of the prophecies I read years ago said that some will sleep through this. I don't know if that was a legitimate prophecy or not, because that was in my NO days. I just figured that anyone that looked like they were dead should be laid on a bed until the sun comes out again. Soooo....if it is avoiding the sight of loved ones dying you want, the three days would be the only way.

Having gotten into this with Vandaler on the other thread, I think I will place my thoughts about the three days here, too. I know that a lot of people don't like the idea of it happening soon, even if they like the idea of it happening at all. I do, and the sooner the better. Let us just suppose that this is indeed the method God uses to chastise us.

In the first place, when we do see it coming, those who have sincerely prayed that His "Kingdom come, His will be done" will rejoice in the imminent fulfillment of His promise they see in the sky. We could sure use some good news these days, too. All others will be given plenty of time to repent. We will also be given time to go indoors to safety.

In the second, and most important, place we will know that these evils will soon be over. Every second of every day people are being murdered, getting abortions, lying, stealing, torturing, plotting mass murders and wars, molesting children and destroying souls right and left. How can we possibly want that to go on and on? How can we possibly want that to go on even one more second?

Not necessarily true. The prophecy says that it is not only the evil and sinful people in the world that will die, but also the good along with them.

Is that the three days or before? I know that there will be martyrs, but if the good are to die too, what happens to the rest of the prophecies? Then we do have the end of the world. But Isaiah 65:17-20 speaks of a time almost like Eden. In any event, we ALL die when God says so, and in the manner in which He prescribes. Perhaps it is like the blind man whom the apostles wanted to who's sins he was blinded for. Jesus said it was for the glory of God. Then again prophecy speaks of a pestilence in the air, which I suppose is a poison. I don't know about that, but why warn us to get inside and stay or we will die, if we are going to die from it anyway.

I was wondering if you would ever get in on this. Tell me, Cub. Can you think of anything besides a comet, asteroid, planet or some such which could do the things that are prophecied. I thought of nuclear h0Ɩ0cαųst but that isn't fire from heaven.
