    • I read the first two, they were entertaining but I can see how they are seen to be inappropriate for kids. The last one (The Amber Spyglass) was definately weird and unsavory. The whole Angel thing was decidedly sinister, I felt. I stopped reading it and chucked it. I guess it's something that parents have to decide for themselves, but I'm sure if we still had the Index then the Dark Materials books would be on them.
