  • Put another log on the fire.
Cook me up some bacon and some beans.
And go out to the car and change the tyre.
Wash my socks and sew my old blue jeans.
Come on, baby, you can fill my pipe,
And then go fetch my slippers.
And boil me up another pot of tea.
Then put another log on the fire, babe,
And come and tell me why you're leaving me.

Now don't I let you wash the car on Sunday?
Don't I warn you when you're gettin fat?
Ain't I a-gonna take you fishin' with me someday?
Well, a man can't love a woman more than that.
Ain't I always nice to your kid sister?
Don't I take her driving every night?
So, sit here at my feet 'cos I like you when you're sweet,
And you know it ain't feminine to fight.

So, put another log on the fire.
Cook me up some bacon and some beans.
Go out to the car and lift it up and change the tyre.
Wash my socks and sew my old blue jeans.
Come on, baby, you can fill my pipe,
And then go fetch my slippers.
And boil me up another pot of tea.
Then put another log on the fire, babe,
And come and tell me why you're leaving me.

  • Actually I thought that would make us all laugh. And, to assume I am a feminαzι is so hilarious. I do not think women belong in the police, fire or military. I really do not think women have shown they can handle the right to vote in most cases so that should start some howling. That is good tis the season for howling.

And, here is a song for you all:

I am woman, hear me roar
In numbers too big to ignore
And I know too much to go back an' pretend
'cause I've heard it all before
And I've been down there on the floor
No one's ever gonna keep me down again

    CHORUS
    Oh yes I am wise
But it's wisdom born of pain
    Yes, I've paid the price
But look how much I gained
If I have to, I can do anything
    I am strong (strong)
    I am invincible (invincible)
    I am woman

You can bend but never break me
'cause it only serves to make me
More determined to achieve my final goal
And I come back even stronger
    Not a novice any longer
'cause you've deepened the conviction in my soul

    CHORUS

I am woman watch me grow
See me standing toe to toe
As I spread my lovin' arms across the land
    But I'm still an embryo
With a long long way to go
Until I make my brother understand

    Oh yes I am wise
But it's wisdom born of pain
    Yes, I've paid the price
But look how much I gained
If I have to I can face anything
    I am strong (strong)
    I am invincible (invincible)
    I am woman
    Oh, I am woman
    I am invincible
    I am strong

    FADE
    I am woman
    I am invincible
    I am strong
    I am woman

In Novus Ordo world, I'm seen as about as misogynistic as a woman can be.

I've argued that the movement of women into the workforce has damaged communities. It has left stay at home mums like me, isolated. Where are all the other women in the neighbourhood? They're at work! And many don't want to be there. They're there because their families now need two incomes, courtesy of the wonderful liberating social engineering of the feminist movement.

I've argued that women shouldn't be paid as much as men, because women aren't as biologically reliable as men. Men aren't known to fall preggers now and again! Pre-menopausal women, unless sterilised, are likely to. And no Catholic employer should ask his married women staff to promise not to get pregnant. He shouldn't even ask his unmarried women staff to promise either, for that matter!

I've argued that women should cover their heads in church, and that there should be no females in the sanctuary during the Mass. I've said that the women who began the trend of not wearing headcoverings were treating a simple gesture as though it's the biggest hardship anyone could suffer.

I've quoted St Paul frequently about how women should shut up in church.

But, I think there's nothing wrong with women wearing trousers! Ergo, I'm a feminαzι.

    QED!

  •  :rahrah:

Now there was a time when they
    used to say
That behind every - "great man."
There had to be a - "great woman."
But in these times of change you
    know
    That it's no longer true.
So we're comin' out of the kitchen
    'Cause there's somethin' we forgot
to say to you (we say)

Sisters are doin' it for themselves.
Standin' on their own two feet.
And ringin' on their own bells.
Sisters are doin' it for themselves.

Now this is a song to celebrate
    The conscious liberation of the
    female state!
    Mothers - daughters and their
    daughters too.
    Woman to woman
    We're singin' with you.
The "inferior sex" got a new exterior
    We got doctors, lawyers, politicians
    too.
Everybody - take a look around.
Can you see - can you see - can you
    see
There's a woman right next to you.

    Chorus repeats.

    Now we ain't makin' stories
    And we ain't layin' plans
'Cause a man still loves a woman
And a woman still loves a man

  • I forgot that one. And, now my day begins at home with my children, who I teach at home. And taking care of my 91 yar old grandmother. And, Clare you are correct no other women is home on my block either save my neighbor who is a self-proclaimed atheist who kept her own name after marriage. She rolls her eyes when I mention I get my strength from God when it come to taking care of "All those children I have."
    Have a good day.
