    So you seriously quote novusordowatch! I have no idea what you are saying, or why, about Jones. My questions were about Randy Engel. There has never been any intimation in our past correspondence to make me think that she is a dyed in the wool Novus ordite.

    Your reply just makes me suspicious and wonder why you would say such a thing on a Catholic website where I would think she is highly regarded.

    1. No, my post did not make use of "unnecessary use of the quotation 'function'". When you wrote it, it should have read: Unnecessary use of quotations. But if you read the text carefully, you'll notice that the quotes were not out of line. If you don't think I don't know what I'm doing, then review the footnotes and how they're formatted. I wrote papers for professional journals and never got any complaints. So, what's your beef?
    2. "Patronising"? I gave you what I had found, and that was after doing many web searches I could find nothing that stated that she had any affiliations with any Traditional groups. And, that "assuming I am easily taken in" business was way out of bounds. Since I have no idea who you are or what your background may be how could I possibly make any assumptions about your possible gullibility? This is unbelievable!
    3. How else could I have answered your questions other than what I did? You wanted to know how I could make such a claim and I responded with the best information I could find. And, NO, I don't subscribe to the views of the 'Novus Ordo Watch': they're a bunch of nutters. It's just happened to be one that I ran across while doing searches.

    Did you get out of the wrong side of the bed or what? I've never read posts from you that were so demeaning.

    Just for your benefit, I wrote to Mrs Engel myself and asked her directly what her position was on Traditionalists and Traditionalism in general.

    Her response was:

    "I am a Traditionalist and I attend the Traditional Latin Mass".

    She didn't say where she attended or what type of Traditional Mass, i.e., SSPX, Indult, or whatever. She wrote some other things to me which are personal.

    Finally, I neither added nor took anything away from my initial impressions. In fact, I believe I went out of my way to finally clarify for you as well as myself what her position really is.

    I hope that you are now satisfied. And, if you think I'm PO'd, you're right!! 🤬

    • That's good. Then you are taking back saying that Randy Engel is probably the worst source; she is a dyed-in-the-wool Novus Ordo Catholic.

    That was a good idea to ask her. I've always found her very humble and approachable.

    Good to hear from you again Gareth.

    When I was younger, and someone asked me my faith, I would say, “I’m Roman Catholic,” and that person would know everything about me in just those few words. Today, there is such chaos and division in the Church, that that simple answer will not do. I find this very sad and you probably do too. I have had some contact with the SSPX over the years, especially with the people at The Angelus, one of my favorite publications. It has been a cordial relationship even if I write something critical about the SSPX when truth demands it. In the end, I just pray that when the dust has settled on the Novus Ordo and it is buried forever, faithful traditional Catholics everywhere will be able to be reunited under the simple name of --- the One, Holy, Catholic and Apostolic Church that Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, founded.
