Feeling Empty. This World has Nothing to Offer.
« on: May 20, 2014, 10:20:39 AM »
Most everything around me is in the process of spiraling towards ruin. I have always been told to see the good of God in everything, and, while I believe that's true, everything just continues into moral, social, political and economic chaos which makes it that much more difficult to see good in the majority of people. The less good I see in people, the more wonderful and magnificent our great God appears to me.

I am just having trouble finding my place in all of this. I hate my job. I am also told to be happy I have a job. I see some of the logic in it but it still doesn't change the fact I hate my job and the place appears to be falling apart.

Is is wrong to in a way to beg God for the chastisement to come in full force?

I pray daily, for Jesus Christ to heal the crisis, anyway He Will.

Personally I feel sad and alone, although I have my family all around me.  God has been good to me and their is no reason why I should feel sorry for myself, and usually I don't, but it is that "sometime" when I do, that gets to me.

Although I am usually not depressed, I feel bad and shudder to think of so many of my loved ones that are on shaky ground when it comes to judgement.  Yet I have confidence, without confidence, I would be in worse condition than those that I pray daily for.

Don't forget these words, "Look up, and lift up your heads, because your redemption is at hand."  Luke 21

I guess I would hate my job too, but there is a bigger vision.

If I were ever called in and fired, I would just smile and think, "I work for God and God is now sending me somewhere else."

Keep telling yourself at work that you work for God and that God is present.

Also remember, God has created hell to keep all those evildoers from ruining the party in heaven. Be charitable and generous. Let God worry about the "big" stuff.

Rejoice in the conclusion that "This World has Nothing to Offer". It is the first step towards really shifting our focus on Heaven, which is where our real home is. Christ will draw His flock out of the world.

The world is the church of Satan, like the Catholics are the Church of Christ Lord. The world is the mystical body of the devil, like the Church is the Mystical Body of Christ. The Christian race do no belong to the world. There are two kingdoms: the kingdom of Heaven, which begins with the grace of Baptism and develops in us until eternal life, and the kingdom of Satan, which starts in sin and develops in those who love the spirit of the world. Even Christ Himself declared this world to be the enemy of truth “Spiritum veritatis quem mundus non potest accipere; the spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive.”(John 1417)

These two kingdoms, the Church and the world, make war on each other until death, are in continual opposition and do not get along. They are opposed to one another like death and life.

“Whosoever therefore will be a friend of this world, becometh an enemy of God,” declares St. James( 44).

Our Lord says, “Do not believe that I came to bring peace on earth, I did not come to bring peace, but the sword; I came to separate, to divide …

www.joyfulcatholic.com has a book "All For Jesus" of the Precious Blood Mission.  Written by Fr. Faber 1854.  Perfect for everyone.  It says that Jesus has interests just as we do and what he desires.  When we pray, pray for those in purgatory/agony.  Christ appeared to St. Camillus in 1644. When we pray for those in purgatory, they pray for us being very generous for we help them in their agony and to heaven.  Boy!  The Communion of Saints is so powerful and of course the Precious Blood is number 1.  But I find that praying in this way and this book is a charm!  It was so popular at the time, they couldn't keep up the demand and I can read/see why!  The devil certainly wants us to feel lousy and such.  Also, depending on your age, we all need a boost to feel better and not depressed so much.  Men take on B complex shots about once a month and they do feel better to function to serve God.
