It's frustrating and disgusting in these times, but we are called to be at peace. Take comfort where you can: cooking good food, having good conversations (surely there's someone at your parish you can call for an "upper", not a theological conversation, but one that's fun?); nature hikes; good books; good films; good music (I prefer classical, but AC/DC and classic rock like that can make me happy.) We've got to have faith that we are protected. A chastisement would be a BLESSING, remember that, and not a curse.
It'll sound cruel to say, and I don't know your habits, but maybe limit your rosaries to once a day; I love saying the rosary, but if you're worried about specific people(s) and bad conditions too much, we're not having faith that our prayers were efficacious. (I myself started adding a decade extra for this, another for that... sometimes you just have to bunch all your intentions together and see how God is in control of it all.) Oh, and THANK GOD for every single tiny good thing that comes your way; you'll start to see how blessed you really are. (We're also called to be content.)
Another thing my husband did (before I met him, which impressed me!): he became a Special Olympics counselor (w/e they're called). He said he had needed to be around innocence for a change, and there was plenty of innocence there. It made him feel good to be around those kids.
