  • You'd better watch out Andy. Claudie boy might spur you if you get too close. Just ignore him & let him crow, he doesn't really bother anyone & is even rather amusing often enough.

  • Frankly, I'm surprised the Icterus is an adult.  Based on his reasoning skills, I thought he might be around college freshman age who had read a few books on existentialism and thought he knew everything.  I guess it turns out I was wrong about his age, but I don't think I was wrong about anything else.

  • He is a strange man. The very thing he finds dangerous in Francis, he does himself but he simply does not see it.

    Icterus on Francis:
    Quote
What do I mean?  He marginalizes Tradition at every opportunity, alternately identifying it as a meaningless affectation (the JPII diagnosis) or as a dangeous ideology.

  • I'm surprised that you didn't mention his heretical statements to the effect Sacred Scripture contains error.  That to me was a bigger issue than denying conspiracy theories.

  • The reason for his errors is highlighted by St Peter as follows:

    2 Peter 1:7-9

"And in godliness, love of brotherhood; and in love of brotherhood, charity. For if these things be with you and abound, they will make you to be neither empty nor unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.  For he that hath not these things with him, is blind, and groping, having forgotten that he was purged from his old sins."

It matters not how great is one's natural intelligence, without the Holy Ghost we are blind to religious truth. If one falls away from God's commandments, then the Holy Ghost withdraws as we see in the allegory of Samson and the 7 gifts of the Holy Ghost:

    Judges 16:19-21

"But she made him sleep upon her knees, and lay his head in her bosom. And she called a barber, and shaved his seven locks, and began to drive him away, and thrust him from her: for immediately his strength departed from him.  And she said: The Philistines are upon thee, Samson. And awaking from sleep, he said in his mind: I will go out as I did before, and shake myself, not knowing that the Lord was departed from him.

Then the Philistines seized upon him, and forthwith pulled out his eyes, and led him bound in chains to Gaza, and shutting him up in prison made him grind.

  • While I have just spoken about icterus and his contradictory ideas on this thread, I admit that modernism has infiltrated most people’s minds today  - including traditional Catholics. I don’t believe that anyone of us is so perfect that we do not hold to any contradictory thought whatsoever. It won’t be easy to eradicate them completely without having an authority acting today to settle some of the disputes.  Pray for sanity to come back to the papacy.

On another note, the language on this forum has degraded to such an extent that it is a bad example to anyone.  Even if a word is not completely spelled out the implication is there.

  • Update: Icterus recently got into trouble with the moderators on Suscipe Domine. He managed to leave before he was banned, however.

I don't believe in the conspiracy theories either. Not all of them anyway. Obviously I believe the Joos and Freemasons have infiltrated the Church, but that's about it.

I'm selective.  I certainly like a good deal of evidence.

But Syria for example is a very odd situation.  It is absolutely clear, to me at least, if you watch Independently made docuмentaries on the situation there that Sunni-jihadists are trying to get into the Kurdish towns in the North and destabilise them and start a cινιℓ ωαr.

The Kurds are fighting back and they know the Sunni Jihadists are loony son's of bitches who will turn their country into another Muslim theocratic state.  Some of the Kurds are Christians and they give a pretty clear and well articulated argument as to who the people attacking them are.  Turkey are helping the jihadist militants sneak over the border into Kurdish Syria.  Which is the part with most of the oil.

Yet for some reason, the west is backing the people they would have us believe knocked down the towers and hate the west.  If it is just for the oil it seems like a very dangerous game to play because having helped the jihadists gain control of Syria there is no guarantee that the west will control the oil or be able to stop the funds being used to attack the west.

It's hard to see a non-conspiratorial reason for western powers to be backing their enemies against Assad.  Watch the docuмentaries and make up your own mind.  But the official story is nonsensical.  If Assad was a monster, then the Kurds would be defending their Southern border.
