  • At first I thought you meant Father Gruner.

  • I should add to this thread right away that the OP is not talking about Fr. (James) Scott Gardner.

That Fr. Gardner was ordained around 2003(?) and he's much older. Yes, he is bald and a bit heavy set. And he is very skilled in playing the organ -- he even has a degree. He wasn't ordained at 24 either; he was more like 30 or 31.

But he's also known for his brains. Bishop Williamson used to use him as a low-tech version of "Google" to access information and articles in the Summa, etc. Let's just say he excelled in his studies. After he was ordained, he was sent to work in the US district headquarters.

I also know that one of his "apostolates" over the summer was to travel around the country interviewing priests for the Angelus Press book, "Priest, where is Thy Mass? Mass, where is Thy Priest?"

He also knows quite a bit about the Baptists, since he was from Arkansas.

I know absolutely nothing about the young Fr. Nicholas Gardner.

  • So now we know who this young priest is going to be confused with ... for a long time:

    1. Fr. Nicolas Gruner
    2. Fr. Scott Gardner

I guess he just has to make a big name for himself, to eliminate the confusion...
