  • His third grand-niece, Sabrina Penn, wrote a book about him called "A Place for My Children". His grand-niece was raised Catholic, although never baptized, but her mother let her choose what religion she wanted to join when she was older. Sabrina was attracted to the Catholic religion and she and a friend of hers went to see a priest to become Catholic but the priest dissuaded them both. So, she ended up becoming a Protestant - and a Protestant minister at that.

May God have mercy on the priest who helped turn her and her friend away from the Catholic faith! This is not the first time I've heard of N.O. priests dissuading people from becoming Catholic.
