  • Here is a story about Phillips disrupting a Mass at the Cathedral.

    https://www.churchmilitant.com/news/article/nathan-phillips-tried-to-disrupt-catholic-mass-by-chanting-beating-drum

    Quote
Nathan Phillips, along with about twenty other activists, tried to disrupt a January 19 evening Mass at the Basilica of the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception, while chanting and banging on their drums, according to the Catholic News Agency (CNA).

Phillips, who had captured national media attention after his confrontation with Covington Catholic High School students on Friday, was reportedly stopped by security from entering the Catholic church on Saturday as he and others chanted and played their drums during a Vigil Mass.
"It was really upsetting," said a security guard to CNA. "There were about twenty people trying to get in, we had to lock the doors and everything."
"We had hundreds and hundreds of people from all over the country come here to celebrate life," continued the security guard to CNA. "It's a house of worship, a place of prayer where people come to celebrate. All this anger is so against what we are all about here."

This sheds a lot of light on his motives for confronting Catholic high school kids.  The claim that he was protecting the Black Suprematists was implausible from the start.  This makes it pretty clear that he likes to target Catholics.

  • Here is some "expert" explaining how standing still doing nothing but smiling is proof that a person is evil.

    https://www.vox.com/2019/1/23/18193174/covington-catholic-school-native-american-students-video

    Quote
When you saw the young man’s face looking at the elder, and just the smirk, and then having a whole group around him of his fellow classmates, all boys, doing the various things they were doing — chanting, doing tomahawk things, racist behaviors — this is what privilege looks like. This is what he has learned not only from his schooling but also from other sources of education, which include family and the larger national context.

What he’s learned is this contempt toward others, this kind of privileged white male gaze that communicates, “I’m better than you, I don’t even have enough respect for you to even say anything to communicate, but I will communicate everything I need to through my body language.” That overconfidence, and that sense of entitlement, all of it was being performed in that moment.

As I was reading the articles, the ways in which people were trying to make sense of that initially, none of the conversation really focused on privilege and that these were a group of privileged boys from a privileged institution.
Just for standing there and being white, he was guilty of "entitlement" and "racism".  And everyone involved in his development is horrible too, for causing him to be this way.

Doing absolutely nothing is somehow justification for this complete denunciation of this kid, his parents and his school.  It's insane.

  • Detailed information on Nathan Phillips military service:

Not a Viet Nam vet in spite of constant claims. Served as a refrigerator mechanic, not in combat.  Punished for going AWOL on multiple occasions.  Discharged, not honourably discharged.

This man tries to get sympathy in the media for being a Viet Nam veteran.

Bill O'Reilly analyzes the attack on the Covington Catholic students and the media's treatment of the young boys. CNN's Religion Commentator, Father Beck recently said the kids should not have been allowed to wear 'Make America Great Again' hats and pleads for Christians to reject President Trump.

This Father Beck claims that it is not Catholic to support Trump.   :o

It wouldn't be Catholic to support a fake CINO half-a-fag like this Andrew Cuomo, who just spat on the sanctity of life.

He's not the best candidate, but you don't see Hillary Clinton or Jagmeet Singh promoting life, do you?
Remember O most gracious Virgin Mary...

  • I am no fan of Donald Trump, but I think that this fight over hats that were being sold by street venders is ridiculous.

Exactly.  There is clear teaching that we cannot vote in support of an intrinsic evil like abortion.  This Fr. Beck is ignoring that and treating questions of legitimate disagreement like immigration as if Catholics are obliged to take his side.  He is basically using his position as a priest to go on national TV and give incorrect information about Catholic teaching.

I'm not a US citizen, but I probably would have voted for Trump simply because he is so much more pro-life than Clinton.  And that actually is based on Catholic teaching, unlike what Fr. Beck is saying.

It would be ridiculous if it weren't so evil.  There are children who have been seriously endangered over this.

Nathan Phillips (the more I look into him the more bad stuff I find)  set up these kids and lied about them.  The leftist media liked what he was saying because it fit their narrative and so they ran with it.  The did not want to report on a huge successful March for Life.  They wanted a story about racist white, Catholic, prolife, Trump-supporting kids attacking an old man.

Some of the media backed down and apologized when video footage showed his story was false.  But lots of them just let him tell another story that matched better and ignored the first story.  Any responsible journalist would recognize that Phillips is not a reliable source, but identity politics means that he is the victim and the kids aggressors no matter what actually happened.

When there was conclusive proof that Nick Sandmann did absolutely nothing wrong, they went after his facial expression!  This is straight out of Orwell's 1984:

“to wear an improper expression on your face (to look incredulous when a victory was announced, for example) was itself a punishable offence. There was even a word for it in Newspeak: FACECRIME, it was called."

And they moved the goal posts.  The kids did not do what they were accused of so thousands of people scoured the Internet for other offences they might have committed.  More out of context and distorted "evidence" was produced.  For example, leftists circulated a picture of Covington students at a basketball game making the 3 pointer sign (obviously someone had just scored) with claims that it was a white power sign.

It may seem ridiculous if one only considers the stupidity of it, but innocent boys are facing real consequences.  But they are white so they can't be victims; they have "privilege".  ::)

  • The only way to win is not to play.

What would happen if those on the right just ignored the fake media, the tweets, the comments sections?  They made it a point of pride to not respond.

Controversy sells.  So if you want to reduce the effectiveness of a marketing message simply ignore it.

2000 leftists agreeing with each other makes for pretty boring reading.

Might be worth a try.  The mainstream media is dependent on eyeballs, sooner or later the CFO has to deliver the quarterly forecast to the CEO and along with the Chairman he reports it in the quarterly conference call.  Then heads roll and change happens.

We just saw what happens when 2000 leftists agree with each other.  They work themselves into a frenzy, each one trying to show more outrage and signal more virtue than the one before.  This is how a story about boys being disrespectful to an old man escalates to death threats.  The problem does not go away if we ignore them.

  • Then troll them.  I liked the NPC thing.  I thought that was very effective.  Basically mocking them relentlessly.

I think it does go away to some degree.  People have very short attention spans and are soon distracted if one of the Kardashians takes off an article of clothing.

Covington Catholic high school won't be in the news cycle much longer, but the kids may face repercussions for years.  Right now their lawyer has given a 48 hour period for all the media people to retract and apologize.  Then they sue.  I would love to see this go to court.  They have a very strong case and it would be great to see these media people face consequences for their public tantrums.  This may keep the story in the news but it will be worth it.

The NPC thing is great.  When people can't be reasoned with, then mockery may have some use.  Plus it is a good way to release the frustration one feels when dealing with idiocy.  I have been looking at leftist nonsense on this issue and I can definitely see a need for that.  Although I also see a need for some people to calmly and rationally present the truth.  There are going to be some people who actually care what is true, so the information should be available for them.

Greg, I think you would appreciate the sense of humour in this video, exposing the war record of Nathan Phillips:

  • Schoolboys are less violent than they used to be.  If someone had banged a drum and wanted to start an argument at the school I went to in London he would have been beaten up and probably stomped.  My whole year was full of very violent Irish people not dissimilar to Irish gypsies.  Their fathers were building site labourers and navvies who emigrated to England because there was no work in Ireland and it was dirt poor.

They used to assault the weaker male teachers.  We actually had VERY tough male teachers as a result and beatings were common.  Once we had a weaker one from Poland (he was just an ordinary man basically neither effeminate or hard and he lasted just a couple of years), everyone called him Bod because of a TV program that was on at the time.

It was a really bad school but I was in a particularly bad and violent year.  My younger brother was in a much better year, 4 years later.

Dim people resort to violence very quickly.  Just check out what happens in the slums of Brazil.

    Another male teacher committed ѕυιcιdє.

Is Covington a private school?   I assume it is and these are the kids of middle class Kentuckians.  Their website is shutdown, probably a DNS attack.

    What is the NPC thing?
It comes from gamer terminology and stands for non playable character.  4 chan turned it into a meme and it got adopted by the right.  It implies that a person just mindlessly adopts a role and carries it out.  It is often combined with the words "orange man bad" to show the mindless hatred of Trump.
