Here is the post that tipped me off to this story:
The indications are overwhelming, in my opinion, that Eric Gajewski (Tradcatknight) purchases Twitter followers, YouTube Subscribers, and probably also Facebook likes. One can actually purchase Twitter followers, etc. for not much money. I believe that after purchasing Twitter followers, etc., Gajewski then constantly asks for donations so that he can purchase more followers and 'grow his numbers,' creating the appearance of a large following when one actually doesn't exist.
He allegedly has 306 thousand Twitter followers (that's a joke), and he's following over 200 thousand Twitter accounts! It's not at all plausible, and numerous other facts reveal what he's doing.
It's a deception. Since his 'numbers' are largely, if not almost completely, purchased or the result of advertising, they don't reflect how many people actually care about, consistently listen to, or follow what he has to say ---- or how many are being impacted in a real and lasting way. His number of real listeners or viewers is probably almost none or very few. He also has almost no quality or high-quality content by which they would be impacted. It's mainly just him talking or re-posting videos of others.
Indeed, his almost unique and made-up theological position would also not be conducive to generating the large following he claims to have. He's a little blogger with an almost unique theological position ---- that is, he condemns sedevacantism, he condemns the SSPX, he condemns the Fraternity of St. Peter, he condemns the Novus Ordo, he condemns Francis as a non-pope but holds Benedict XVI to be the pope. That's a basically unique position that almost no one agrees with and which appeals to almost no one. So, why would many listen to or care about what he has to say, unless he were producing unique or high-quality content, or were known for theological expertise, knowledge, or research (such as in the areas of Church history or apologetics or the current situation, etc.), which he's not.
I also believe he purchases YouTube views. It can be done for only a penny a piece for each video view. That's why on many of his programs (especially older ones) he doesn't even have 1000 views after months, yet on some others he will have tens of thousands of views after a few days. There isn't a consistency of large viewership because he doesn't have a large viewership. (In the last few weeks, however, there's been more consistency. That's almost certainly because he's been receiving perhaps a few donations from gullible people, which enables him to purchase views for all the recent videos. I've also saved screenshots of many of his videos which, after many months, only have a few hundred views --- in case he goes back after seeing this and tries to purchase views for those videos so that it's not as obvious to people what he is doing). With probably almost no exceptions, he only gets big numbers when he pays for them. And then, based on his big numbers, he asks for more money to pay for more big numbers.
I believe the man is a fraud and it's sad that any 'traditionalist' would be so gullible as to fall for his ruse or support it, not to mention his doctrinal problems.
Eric Gajewski asks for donations, which is highly irregular for a layman. He apparently uses his occasional "windfalls" to purchase followers on his social media accounts (Twitter, Facebook, Youtube, etc.) to appear to be super-popular and the 900-pound gorilla in the Trad world.
Well, the jig is up. We now have proof that he buys followers. Has ANYONE actually clicked on his follower list, rather than merely being dazzled by his follower list? I did it just now, and let me tell you it was an extremely eye-opening experience! There is seriously a 0% chance that these are all true followers, as defined by individuals who follow his blog (etc.), interested in hearing what he has to say.
Now any of his fans (do they actually exist?) please tell me: Is it even POSSIBLE that these people would agree with any of Eric Gajewski's positions -- ANY OF THEM?
But don't believe me, click the link to Twitter and see for yourself!

I think we get the idea. There are thousands more like this.
Many languages other than English, blank profiles (trust me, this is a BIG TIP OFF that it's a throwaway or "bot" account), lots of lewd/pornographic content, etc.
I doubt these people are all listening to Eric's preaching. Like I said, is he this cynical? Does he think we're just going to be dazzled, lay down and worship him after we see his number of followers? He thinks we're a bunch of idiots.
Well, hopefully the word will get out.

Unless, of course, you're Gerry Matatics or Thomas Droleskey.
I'm not saying either of these two are frauds, just that they are laymen who often ask for donations.

Yes, they do, but it's highly unusual. Unless he has a very special vocation, a man should work and earn his own living, rather than living off charity. Priests and religious live off the charity of others, so they can devote themselves to their vocation without having to work for "the man" which would certainly interfere with a religious or priestly vocation.
-
I was just looking at his forum. It is very small and most of the posts are by Gajewski himself.
-
Another update:
On Facebook, he's set it up cleverly so it's a "community" so I can't see who the various 100,000 likes are. Again, I doubt there are that many Trads, nevermind Trads who would agree with him. And though I don't have proof here, we have enough proof on Twitter and Youtube that he's willing to stoop that low for fake followers. So we can assume he's doing this on ALL his media outlets.
On his blog, he has a huge number of Google Plus followers, but when you click the View All link, it takes you to his Google Plus homepage, merely showing you his posts. He has his follower list set to hidden.
On Youtube, you can't look at his followers either, BUT you can view what channels he's subscribed to -- which is quite a hodgepodge of crap.
I checked into this, to make sure I knew what I was looking at. On my Youtube account, under the "Channels" tab there are two items: X22Report and X22Report Spotlight. Those are the only 2 channels I've subscribed to.
Eric has hundreds or thousands. He must be doing follower-swaps of some sort.
I understand why he would subscribe to a small group with 37 followers called "Brains are overrated"...but come on!

I had never heard of the guy until this morning when I read Croixalist's Great Monarch thread. Fr. Voigt should have someone looking out for him, to just do a little research on the people he grants interviews.
-
Curiosity got the better of me. Here is another page of the channels Eric has subscribed to. You have some interesting taste there, man!

Yes indeed. And that fact backs up this other evidence I'm presenting here today.
If he really had 100,000 (legitimate) Facebook likes, and thousands of (actual, real life) fans, he should be able to muster up a forum 5X more popular than CathInfo on its first day! Just post a "grand opening" post, and watch the crowds come in!
But OOPS! You can't buy intelligent Trad Catholic posts for $5 per thousand. A bit more difficult than getting twitter followers...
-
The people who absolutely must see this information are the resistance priests: Fathers Kramer and Voigt and Bishop Williamson would be a great start.
-
Here is a PDF of a bunch of his Youtube subscriptions. I got sick of hitting the "load" button.
Keep in mind, these are supposed to be channels he's interested in, and wants to follow to keep up with all those people's latest videos. Some are quite scandalous!
I made this PDF just to have a permanent record of this.
-
Matthew I was actually going to mention his YouTube subscriptions but you beat me to the punch. A few months ago I was looking at his YouTube channel and saw his subscriptions, I was going to make a thread about it back then but never got around to it.
I'm not sure who Eric is but his culture is not catholic!
-
I could understand a fellow subscribing to a few channels that belonging to some lady friends, but that's a darn awful lot of beauty and fashion channels for a guy to be subscribed to. lol
Guess keyboard crusaders need makeup tutorials too.

Yeah, and not just any makeup tutorials, but unpopular ones, in Polish...

I absolutely agree. It is unusual. I don't know who this Eric Gajewski is and I'm not really interested in learning more about him. But it is clear that he is as unusual as this other pair.

Is there actually anything in Catholic prophecy about the 'eagle' thing, or is that just something he made up?
-
Is there actually anything in Catholic prophecy about the 'eagle' thing, or is that just something he made up?
Is the "Order of the Eagle" supposed to be a real thing to come?
Eagle imagery has been associated with the GCM before. Not a whole lot, but it's there.
The son of man, the parvenu of the sea, shall be most invincible in war and shall subdue all Germany. The great house shall almost be pulled down. At last the Eagle will come from the North to the West, and shall, together with her children, be surrounded by the towers of Spain and they will raise Germany up again. The Eagle will also invade Mahometan countries and will carry the admirable sign in the Land of Promise. Peace and abundance shall return to the world.
The Great Monarch will be of French descent, large forehead, large dark eyes, light brown wavy hair, and an eagle nose. He will crush the enemies of the Pope and will conquer the East."
Then you've got the wings of a great eagle in Revelation. A possible connection to the child of Revelation?
And there were given to the woman two wings of a great eagle, that she might fly into the desert unto her place, where she is nourished for a time and times, and half a time, from the face of the serpent.
As far as the "order" goes, it appears to have been lifted from the alleged correspondence between St. Francisco De Paola and a Simeon De Limena, Count of Montalto.
He shall he a great captain and prince of holy men, who shall be called the Holy Cross-bearers of Jesus Christ, with whom he shall destroy the Mohammedan sect and the rest of the infidels. He shall reform the Church of God by means of his followers, who shall be the best men upon earth in holiness, in arms, in science, and in every virtue, because such is the will of the Most High. They shall obtain the dominion of the whole world, both temporal and spiritual, and they shall support the Church of God until the end of time.
I say "alleged" for two reasons. First, I can't find any evidence supporting the actual existence of these letters, nor for that matter any "Simeon De Limena" in history outside of this prophecy. Secondly, it contains a prediction that clearly did not come true as St. Francisco died in 1507.
Four hundred years shall not pass when his Divine Majesty shall visit the world with a new religious order much needed, which shall effect more good among men than all other religious institutions combined.
So we have to admit the possibility of a hoax or forgery. If it is fake, I wouldn't be surprised if it was to help the cause of the very real Henry of Artois, who's claim died with him in 1883, well within the projected timeline of the prophecy. Even if we take it at face value, it doesn't say anything about an order of "eagles". Can anyone find a hawkmen prophecy out there?
:jester:
-
IMO far too much mental energy is being wasted on this guy, giving him the attention he so badly craves.
-
Yeah, I'll admit you're right. Everything I've seen and heard suggests that he feels inadequate, and he builds up these fake Social Media edifices to make himself feel big. Even his friends like MariaAngelaGrow admit this.
But sometimes my zeal for truth gets me going on such Quixotic errands. It bothers me that some REAL Traditional Catholics -- even a couple priests -- actually follow his blog to see what all the hoopla is about, and they get sucked in. He does have a few hundred REAL followers, unfortunately, and that's not good. (The blind leading the blind?)
Now he's in full damage control mode, claiming that a ton of his accounts were hacked and that's why he has a plethora of non-English and pornographic followers on all his Social Media properties.
I got the message loud and clear, too -- most of it was bolded, CAPS, and/or underlined. He was having another full-blown episode.
I've been on the Internet for 20 years and I've never had an account hacked. Maybe he should pick a better password than "password", "abc123" or "eagle".
Oh well. Everyone is given different levels of intelligence...
1. He is preying on ignorance. I know how Twitter works. Just getting your Twitter account hacked does NOT give you thousands of fake/foreign Twitter followers. It's easy to follow people; not so easy to make them follow YOU. They only follow you if A) they are truly interested in your channel or B) they are doing some kind of follower-swap with you.
And it doesn't take that long to unsubscribe (on Youtube) and unfollow (on Twitter). I also know how hard it is to get followers. You don't "accidentally" get hundreds and thousands of whores and random people following you. So why does he have them, and why isn't he un-following them? Obviously he likes the numbers. And this is precisely what others have said.
Others, who follow his blog, have said that he actually justifies this practice (buying/trading for fake followers) because it gives his apostolate a higher profile, and some of those whores on his list "might just convert" when they see one of his posts -- "you never know". Yeah right.
I also heard that it's common knowledge (hey, I didn't know it!) that Eric Gajewski has an actual OFFLINE apostolate among the prostitutes. Even though he's a single male layman. That's real prudent! What is he going to do, hear their confessions? Preach to them? If he was serious about this "vocation" of his, he would have joined a real seminary and become a priest. I call BS.
Is he putting himself in an occasion of sin, or is he (how shall I say this delicately) inadequate as a male? The whole "I'm the Great Monarch with 300 million pageviews on Facebook" shows that he's somewhat less than sane.
Wow...the Trad world really has its share of characters. With all the negative publicity, I'm surprised the Trad movement is as big as it is!
His sites are certainly to be avoided. We can find end-of-the-world news and information a hundred other places -- I would know. I never go to his sites, and I'm always informed about the latest news in the Catholic and secular world.
-

Guess you can add Fr. Kramer as a Blind Pew leading the blind few. On his own Eric, is harmless. The problem is that he's made sure to attach himself like a barnacle to a lot of big names in the Resistance and they let him snuggle right up to them.
Hopefully someone somewhere gets one of these priests to look at his alter altar Ego.
-
I mean if it's only a few weird followers, yeah okay, because those things are spam. I get some porn followers, but normally you delete them, right? lol. Haha, his beauty ones are hilarious. Sounds like a kid to me.
-
So many of his posts (or blogs as he calls them) are targeted towards women. I've never seen him post on modesty for men or even calling out men who use prostitutes or porn. His focus seems to be exclusively on the women as if they are the only ones who can bring an end to sins of the flesh. He never misses an opportunity to post a photo of a whore. Nobody complains.
