  • The author may be a Lutheran, but he is spot on. We now have fuzzy deity who is also our "best friend." He is here to fulfill all our wants and to complete our already "good" yet not fully fulfilled "life." The author's point about externals and God looking at someone's heart is good one, because what proceeds externally comes from the heart. Hence for someone who is immodest, God looking at someone's heart is not a good thing (Matt 15:18-19).
    Pray for me, always.

  •  No connection with Jesus usually pictured as a fatherless child ? In today's society that is a very common sight. With the minimization of the role of St. Joseph, and also anti scriptural forced clerical celibacy, plus all these apparitions where the male father figure role is diminished or eliminated, that all has done quite a bit of breaking down of the family through effeminacy.

    Malachi 4:5

Behold I will send you Elias the prophet, before the coming of the great and dreadful day of the Lord. 6 And he shall turn the heart of the fathers to the children, and the heart of the children to their fathers: lest I come, and strike the earth with anathema.

Pope Pius IX was big on promoting this Blessed Mother emphasis along with the rest of the infallibles who succeeded him. He also inflated the papal role to infallible status. He became the man, everyone else some kind of obedient sissy boy. I think when you deny a man the right to correct his superiors, you are taking away his manhood. All this leads up to obedient slave material for the NWO.

I'd be on the lookout for that promised chastisement.

BTW the Lutherans did a nice job with that sermon.
