Eddie Nicolas has been banned -- for obvious reasons. Dubious apparitions which he keeps promoting, etc.

Now for the point of this post --

WHY DIDN'T ANYONE TELL ME?

I did see a thread entitled, "Eddie Nichols should be muzzled" but I thought it was some famous (or notorious) person in the news that everyone here wanted taken out of the spotlight.

After all, the thread title said he should be MUZZLED, not BANNED!

Moral of the story #1: Don't be cute or clever with the wording. If you're calling for a BANNING, say BAN, not execute, muzzle, cast out, silence, etc.

In this thread, about a dozen (?) people all concurred that this man didn't belong on CathInfo. But how many of them sent me a PM or e-mail?

ZERO.

That's a problem.

Moral of the story #2: The PM function works much, much better than creating a random "lynching" thread calling for someone's banning.

For whatever reason, I skipped over EVERY LAST ONE of his posts until my wife finally pointed out to me the need to ban Eddie. I was like, "Eddie who?"

I had never heard of Eddie Nicolas, because I wasn't interested in any of his posts. They are the kind of posts I ignore, apparently.

So the guy was here for weeks, posting crap, and I never was made aware of it!

Now I have to clean up a lot more posts than I'd like to.

I have no idea who that guy is. Glad I won't have to read any of his stuff. If someone's saying stupid stuff (unless it's Vandeler) I don't respond to it.

I think, maybe like some others, that I just assumed he had been reported properly. On the other hand, Matthew, maybe some assumed you kept him around because you found the "visions" he shared edifying. :scared2:

BANNING, and she doesn't like to use her town's name in a derogatory way,
because, she says, "That gets me where I LIVE!" -- Banning, CA, 92220.

He and I have had it out for a few years. He thinks he's debunking every conspiracy theory. Look at his posts, and my replies, and you'll see that I basically respond to laugh at him.
