Can anyone tell me what time period is considered the Easter season when one is required to receive Holy Communion? I have heard and read different time periods and am looking for a definitive source for the information. Am I correct that this is determined by the local Ordinary and may vary from place to place?

We just read this in our catechism textbook which is based on the Baltimore Catechism. It says that in the US, Easter season is from the first Sunday in Lent until Trinity Sunday (Sunday after Pentecost).
