Title: Earthquake!

I just felt an earthquake! The epicenter was two miles or so northeast of Yorba Linda, CA, and the magnitude was around 4.4 --

Parkfield, CA on the San Andreas had a 4 something quake yesterday.

Whoa!

The last time I actually felt an earthquake that woke me up was the Northridge earthquake back in January of 1994.

I remember because I didn't have to go to school that week :D

this is direct result of someone inter-acting outside of ones own race......which means they are 100% Jєωιѕн,liberal,multi-culturalists...it could NEVER mean anything else, as there is always only 2 alternatives,A or B......never any other explanations, at all....you worship your race or, are a liberal,jew,selfhater,etc..

So, earthquake=race mixing....likely, a black guy talked to a white guy or some non-white sat next to a white in a Church.....

We've had more earthquakes today! Thankfully the Roman Missal has a prayer that suits such an occasion:

There was another one this morning around 9:30 am Pacific Time.
That makes two 4 magnitude quakes in less than 12 hours.

I heard it was the same general area.

Any quake in L.A. less than 5 magnitude is not going to cause much damage, if
any at all, and it's really a good thing, because it relieves pressure on the
faults that otherwise could build up to a much larger quake.

If we had small quakes like that every day it could save us from any really big
and deadly ones. But we have most days with no noticeable quakes.

There hasn't been any conclusive studies that show small quakes can be a
precursor to a large one. Most large earthquakes seem to "come out of the blue"
with no prior warning. That's what makes them so terrifying, because you can
spend all your time worrying about them, and then when they finally hit,
your pent-up anxiety is as uncontrollable as the earth's movement, at the same
time as your whole world is thrown around you like a shake-n-bake bag.

That is a good question, and an interesting topic for someone out there to research.

I wouldn't be surprised if they were kinsmen, but what we do know is that both were ardent defenders of the Catholic faith: a greater fraternitas, one that transcends the limits of place and times, united them in the Mystical Body of Christ and Communion of Saints.

Lefebvre is the second-most common name in France after Dupont, I believe.

Notice: there were 8 earthquakes in the same time period that were larger in
magnitude than the L.A. quakes.

Note: the correct term to use is "magnitude" not "on the Richter Scale" because
the Richter Scale is obsolete for larger quakes and is only used for very small
ones anymore. To make it simple, seismologists have abandoned its use, and
you'll only hear it from reporters out of ignorance or a desire to appeal to the
audience and therefore sell copy.

Seismologists would look at this data and notice first of all that these 5 quakes
occurred at approximately the same area on the surface, that is, at the respective
epicenters, but they were "moving" in a generally consistent direction.

The depth became increasingly shallow, first of all. The first quake was at 10.4 km,
and the second moved up to 9.7 km, the third to 9.5 km and followed by 9.1 and
8.7 respectively. Therefore, the 5 quakes, as they generally became less strong,
were originating at less depth, one after the other.

As for location, longitutde of 33.907 to 33.903 doesn't make for much difference -
about a few hundred feet north/south. And latitude of -117.790 to 117.781 isn't
much either, about a quarter mile, east/west. So they can all be said to have been
in the same locality without distinction.

The depth having been reduced and the magnitude coming down as well, would
have given the residents of the area the impression that the quakes were very
much the same, for a weaker quake at a shallower depth has the feeling of the
same sort of quake as a stronger one at greater depth, when you are standing
directly above them both, as those people at the epicenters were.

The second and third quakes would have seemed to be strong and weaker, but
the fourth and fifth quakes would have seemed the same as the third. So if you
ask a local, he would say there were 5 quakes, and they each got a little less
strong, but not much.
