  •   Last week it was anti-drug addiction and substance abuse Day. I have not seen it myself but they say that an addicted person becomes weak, inconsiderare, ready to do anything no matter how cruel to reach his drugs, abusive and intolerable. And that great number of divorces are due to addiction. It is why they take an addiction test from men before marriage.
But some of you here speak about this topic as if it is normal or just a little sinful. I am so confused!
      Can anybody explain it?

  • It's not normal.  It's a sin to use drugs or to abuse substances, even food, beyond what they are intended for.  I've read that 60% of the U.S. population is on some form of prescription drug.  How many more use both legal and illegal substances, including alcohol, I don't know.  But because it's so prevalent, everyone seems to have some disease or disorder these days that require medication, I imagine that's why it seems that so many people are defending the use of drugs.

  •   I didnot mean medicines or mdical drugs. I meant things like crystal and heroine......
A little of anything doesn't harm, even if it is a poison. But after a while "a little" loses it's tastes and one has to increase the amount if he is to find any pleasure. Because having pleasure is the reason why he uses them. And if he can't have that drug, he suffers.

Sounds like your people are using the wisdom that God gave them. Keep us posted if you find any English references on these addiction tests in Iran. When Western antiChrist culture becomes so currupt you can't hear a word of truth, it would be good to look for a few wise men from the East.

  • Sometimes sin is lessened a bit when it becomes habitual, not that the person should not seek treatment, but penalties can be somewhat lessened...
