  • It's too late.  I have just lost all interest in posting here and it's not going to come back.  I know myself -- when I move on, I move on.

The atmosphere here is no longer congenial to me.  I have come to realize I just really don't enjoy the SSPX mentality, which is as alien to me as the Vatican II mentality in a different way, and would rather spend my time with sedes, or just with myself and some books.  Oil and water don't mix, and I am not one to be content with the "We're all Catholics" line of malarkey.

If we are in a Counter-Revolution, then I am Robespierre.  There is nothing moderate about me and I can't fight it anymore.  SSPX is the cancer of the resistance, and I don't think many people realize just how virulent it is.  But this is for all intents and purposes an SSPX site.

I thank all of those who have participated in discussions with me and helped me hone my position, who have corrected me when I went astray and who have supported me if I had any decent insight.  I have used this site to get feedback and sharpen my faith, and for me, unlike for Matthew Hardin, posting here has generally been a boon.  I would be ungrateful not to say that.

I will pray for all, please do the same for me.  Adios!  No need to respond, I won't be checking this thread or any thread, but I will check PMs as long as I'm not banned.
Readers: Please IGNORE all my postings here. I was a recent convert and fell into errors, even heresy for which hopefully my ignorance excuses. These include rejecting the "rhythm method," rejecting the idea of "implicit faith," and being brieflfy quasi-Jansenist. I also posted occasions of sins and links to occasions of sin, not understanding the concept much at the time, so do not follow my links.

  • It's strange, because I've felt the same way, sadly.

Something's happened to this board. I don't know what it is, but it's not the same one I've recommended to friends.

Moles? Perhaps. It's not just Caminus that's making it difficult to post here.

I wish you well, Matthew. You've worked hard to keep this board up, but you've gotten really ban happy lately. That might be contributing to the exodus.

Where to go now? I don't know. I thought it was pretty nice to find this place to begin with. One thing is sure. I am not going back to PP, and I am certainly not going to FE.

    Goodbye and God bless you.

  • I'm sorry but this is nothing but cry baby whining with a touch of self love.  Are you so superior yet sensitive that you are morally unable to post messages on a message board at the mere "presence" of another whom you despise?

I think Mike's errors are serious, grave and deadly, but that doesn't prevent me from posting messages.  It's almost as if you see this as some kind of univocal being, one mystical person rather than a mere collection of disparate messages from different people.

Maybe it is this tendency of mind which is really behind the sedevacantism.  Rather than seeing the Church as the external Kingdom of God on earth, the City of God comprised of all kinds of men, of various ranks and dignities with a wide range of opinions and inclinations, you see it rather in a purely spiritual sense with only one personality, one nature and one activity.  Thus, when you are scandalized, you are tempted to reject the whole thing.

    Caminus!
I loved the pictures of you and your family!  I understand that you are a young (good looking) Catholic man who tries to mean well.  I ask you.  How many years have you experienced the problems in the church?  Not to many, judging by your pictures.
Well, you are talking to an old lady who has experienced the problems since the beginning of Vatican 11.  I saw it all play out!   I struggled to raise 10 children with a husband that stayed in the NO church!
If you want to gain wisdom, listen to those who have gone thru battle after battle.
I dont dislike you.  Please try and be tolerant of those who dont agree with your pontifical pronouncements.  You really dont know it all!

  • I don't dislike you either and I'm always willing to gain wisdom.  But your experience doesn't trump reason or higher degrees of acquired or infused wisdom.  And you should direct this admonishment most especially to Mike who is very new to Catholicism and obviously has next to no grasp of certain necessary concepts, yet he feels he can consign Catholics to the outer darkness at the wave of his hand.

I'm betting that if we actually talked to each other, things would be very different.

OK Caminus...........just exactly how old are you?  How many years have you been a Catholic?  Has  your family always been Trad Catholic?  Where do you attend mass?
Raoul has his beliefs, and you have yours.  That does not give you the right to villify him on the forum.  You literally DROVE him away.  He actually has more support here than you do, Im willing to bet!

  •   This is getting pretty good.

Just remember, what separates the winners from the loosers is that a winner gets off the floor one more time than the looser.

     Adios R76.

One Holy Catholic Apostolic and Fallible Pre-1870 Church is the real winner. And everybody thought we were down for the count.

Anyway before anybody leaves, God Bless all of you for trying your best to keep the Faith.

Eh!  No Classic!  Im not up to that contest for my age!  Been there, done that!  Brought many to the faith in my lifetime.  In my nursing career, I have baptized 23 babies in danger of death, and brought several souls into the church!  Now, instead of scholerly discourses, I prefer to pray!  I make vestments for priests and have completed about 40 sets since 2003.  Even made three for the SSPX priests!
Ill leave the contests to the young!
As a side thought, in the terrible times to come, it will not be what we know as Catholics, but how we live the life of Love for  our faith that will matter. We all need to hear the words from Our Lord at our deaths "Well done, god and faithful servent!"

In total, since this whole drama began, I've only banned one person, and temp-banned two.

In fact, I'm just trying to pick a date to re-instate both Dawn and Alexandria.  I keep looking at my Angelus (pre-Vatican II) liturgical calendar...

They were both long standing members, so it's obvious that they fit in here just fine. That's why even when I was very upset with them I didn't lose all reason and "ban" them outright. The only reason I temp-banned them was that it was getting too hot here -- we all needed some time to cool off.

As for Raoul -- He seems to be at a low-point when it comes to trusting people. His paranoia has reached a state where it's seriously affecting his life -- especially his spiritual life. He is obsessed with "the fight" to the point that he is losing himself in it. His perception is very, very distorted.

For example, CathInfo has plenty of sedevacantists, and I only banned/temp-banned THREE people, but he seems to think I'm cutting off his "arms and legs" and leaving him totally outmanned and outgunned. A tad bit of an exaggeration.
