News from Ireland. The people of Donegal have been fantastic over the years. Great opposition to the EU, great opposition to attacks on the faith, strong opposition to recent household tax. A strong area showing Catholic Resistance.

DONEGAL COUNTY COUNCIL BACK CALL OPPOSING ABORTION LEGISLATION
July 30, 2012
A motion has been passed opposing any form of legislation on abortion today by Donegal County Council.
The majority of county councillors backed the motion which was brought forward by Cllr Renagh Donaghey from Buncrana.
Seventeen councillors backed the motion, six abstained and one voted against.
The move has been welcomed by Cathal Quinn who represents those against abortion in County Donegal.

Why is Donegal like this? And why was it good to oppose a househould tax? I am not disagreeing. I just don't know what it is.
