  • Considering the fact that it can kill a snake, I wonder how toxic it would be for a human?

  • So the whole e-mail forward is bogus? It seemed to make sense to me.

But still, what if you're one of the 97% who didn't bother to acquire some pepper spray before the day a burglar brakes into your home while you're there?

What we need is an "expedient" solution, for those who aren't prepared with a can of pepper spray or other self-defense.

I would think that spraying some "illegal" wasp spray in a burglar's face would be preferable to letting a burglar have his way with one's family.

I suppose it's better to use pepper spray, for the reasons you cite. We should add it to our list of "preps" -- and let's hope that none of us ever have a need for it.

"It is a violation of Federal Law to use in any manner inconsistent with this label."

It's also illegal to make a copy of a movie from video tape...and people casually do so all the time!

If your life is threatened, you are allowed to use anything to defend yourself with. Of course, I don't know if wasp spray truly is effective and what it really does. Did that police department in Texas really recommend that?

WASP SPRAY FOR SELF DEFENSE IS HORRIBLE ADVICE AND AN INTERNET MYTH PASSED ON BY BLOGGERS WHO SHOULD RESEARCH THIS BEFORE SOMEONE IS INJURED!!!!!

The problems with wasp spray are many. First no human testing has been conducted. Second, it is illegal to use in self defense. The canister labels states "It is a violation of Federal Law to use in any manner inconsistent with this label. NEVER USE INDOORS!” You can also be sued for using wasp spray in self defense because of this warning on the label.

Home defense pepper spray is a much better option. Pepper Spray has been designed to specifically to stop humans, dogs and even bears. Home Defense pepper spray will deploy up to 25 Feet. Pepper spray is legal to use in self defense. Pepper spray is trusted and relied on by police departments worldwide. The biggest advantage pepper spray provides is it doesn't require pain to incapacitate because of its inflammatory effects. Unlike wasp spray, pepper spray slams the eyes shut and causes a loss of breath sensation which makes it effective even if the attacker is drunk, on drugs or is emotionally disturbed and cannot feel pain. When your life is at stake do you want something that can stop a wasp or a bear? Go with pepper spray. It’s legal and proven.

You know what a cop told me?

If someone is trying to kill you, anything is legal.

And that's coming from someone who hates putting up with the legal crap that comes with incidents like this. He complains about the hassles it causes him, but he doesnt mind if it keeps him from having to stuff you in a body bag.
