  • There has been a number of times where I go to mass and the priest's sermon has something to do with what I have wrote on an internet blog, what I was going through in the week before hand, or even something that I have talked about with other people. It is to the point where its really messing with my head. I get the sense the people are following me around. But then I start thinking that maybe God is speaking through the priest/individual to me. Do you ever sense that God speaks through people to you about something that you are struggling with or whatever? I am talking about there is just no way the person could have known what you were going through but happened to make comments about what you are dealing with in some kind of way i.e. priest giving a sermon.

  • I remember you said something similar about your professors. I wouldn't worry about it. It is probably a coincidence.

Although I now want to try to restrain my posts to asking questions, I feel I can do some good in this matter.

I had a similar experience, and still have, but what is important is that you do not get paranoid about a human threat, because anything that could possibly damage your faith comes from the devil, who speaks through his vessels in the unholy people, and anything that could better your faith will be said by the holy. Therefore be suspicious only of the devil and those motivated by him.

"The holy man sometimes notices things more than seven watchmen in a tower"

You have become aware of the movements of God in your surroundings and have become able to discern spiritual forces at work. I suppose you will be quite good at psychology and able to predict others with a kind of spiritual psychology. This experience does not go away, the only thing that changes is your level of vigilance. You have become vigilant through sufficient contemplation of God and applying the morality of God to your daily experience. Do not let fear get the better of you and to not let your vigilance take over your life, for you must continue to live in accordance with your state in life.

A doctor would not understand you, but would term your experiences "hyper vigilance" possibly "paranoia". As usual the less common traits of human nature are seen as abnormal, but be reassured, because it is abnormal to be holy, and to have knowledge of holy things.

In time perhaps you should write a book about your holy conversion. I should like to see it since being aware of spiritual powers is a sign of a receptiveness to wisdom.
