  •  Horizontal
    • Parallel to the plane of the horizon; at right angles to the vertical
    • Of or at the horizon

    Horizon
    • The line at which the earth's surface and the sky appear to meet

    It’s Called a “Horizon” Because…….?

    IT’S HORIZONTAL. ;D  8)  :applause:

    And the point is.........................?
    .
Do you believe the tangent line is perpendicular to the radius?
    .
    Hmmm?  ;)

A line, which is the shortest distance between two points, has no radius.

Why don't you try stumping us by getting us to admit to the above, and then show that curves aren't proper to angles; that'll really show us, and our little dog too.

    noun

    • the line or circle that forms the apparent boundary between earth and sky.

      • Also called rational horizon.the great circle of the celestial sphere whose plane passes through the center of the earth and is parallel to the sensible horizon of a given position, or the plane of such a circle (celestial horizon).the limit or range of perception, knowledge, or the like.

    • Usually horizons.the scope of a person's interest, education, understanding, etc.:His horizons were narrow.

    • Astronomy.
      • the small circle of the celestial sphere whose plane is tangent to the earth at the position of a given observer, or the plane of such a circle (sensible horizon).
    ASSUMPTION of two things:
    1. That earth is celestial; it is not, it is terrestrial.
    .
    2. That earth is a sphere.
    .
    Therefore, erroneous definition.

    .
Oh, you were not talking about a line, but a line segment.
    .
So you don't think that a tangent has anything to do with a radius, either, correct?
    .
And since line segments (as you would say) have no radius, therefore tangents are impossible in our small world.
    .
That is, a world of very narrow horizons (aka scope of interest).
    .
