And do they serve God unknowingly when in a state of Grace?

People knowingly serve Satan in a state of Mortal Sin. For Mortal sin requires FULL KNOWLEDGE of the sinfulness, which implies the knowledge of serving Satan.

Both states can have thoughtless activities predicated to an individual. I can thoughtlessly serve Satan indirectly by cooperating materially in things that are to his glory.

I can thoughtlessly serve God by doing things that are of material benefit to his Church and are righteous things, but have no real internal charity behind them. A good example is quickly writing off the obligatory offering check...

I was asking because on another thread youtube videos were posted about the real exorcism of Emily Rose. I found another video while watching that one. And some monk was stating that He thought Emily Rose became possessed because she had fallen into mortal sin.

You can be possessed by repeated mortal sin, especially of a sɛҳuąƖ nature. But generally, it is not common. If you can say the creed aloud, kiss a crucifix, and sign yourself with holy water, you are not too far gone. That is the test I perform on myself whenever I have a sinful streak I have to deal with.

Remember, demons are like vicious little piranhas and leeches. There is no sense of fair play or justice. They will attack and violate innocence at any age and in any condition and instill the most diabolical of thoughts into any person who is careless enough to mull them about, regardless of their relation to the victim.

I have been very sinful in my life, EXTREMELY so...but i have been conscious about Satan, and I have deliberately WILLED to not allow him to posses my body. He cannot violate your will. Your will needs to actually allow him in for him to possess you fully.

However, I do believe the majority of Christians are demonized. I believe that the majority of Christians has at least one or two demons that are committed to ruining their life, and that they slip in as far as they can as often as they can, but not as often do they fully possess anyone.

I agree with you Gregory I.  Jesus once said in the Gospels that there are demons who cannot just be driven away by just a simple prayer.  And for that reason, Our Lord exhorted His disciples to fast so that those special powerful demons may be driven away.

It's even terrible to imagine those demons were once power angelic ranks like Dominations, Power, Thrones, or even a Cherubim.  In my opinion, I think those special demons that specialize with sins of impurity must be a high rank.
