  • I saw the beginning of the superbowl halftime show and I thought it was demonic so I stopped watching.

There was a woman (Katy Perry) singing who was dressed in clothes covered with flames like she was in hell and she was riding on a huge mechanical beast. It was like something out of the Apocalypse. Did anyone else see this? If so, what did you think?

  • I wonder if the Super Bowl is a large cover for all the "other games" that happen before and after the games.  Remember, if you heard or saw on the AZ TV networks, Prostitutions bunny houses, on TV asked for no crimes a month before and a month after "the" game.  And another TV point to not take on "children" not to exploit them, and porn and more lenient with drink booze and of course how many times we AZ's had to hear on the news just how "safe" it was to come to the events before the "games".

And the funny part is the Nuns who put up their retreat places for rent during the games.  I think it was $250 a night.  Mind you, the hotels and such get no advertising on the  6 pm news!

I cry  and pray just thinking of all the hurt and pain from the sodom and gomoraha.

  • I didn't see the demonic imagery, I just thought the show was stupid and unnecessary. Katy Perry simply isn't a very good vocalist. She shouts too much to get high notes out.

Let's not pretend we're talking about something as innocuous as someone who's "simply not a very good vocalist."

The screetchy-voiced woman who sits behind me at Mass and loudly (but well-meaningly) buchers the "Salve Regina" is simply not a good vocalist. Katy Perry is a whore of darkness who corrupts souls by promoting lust, fornication and unnatural vice.

And as for demonic imagery, in this area she makes Black Sabbath look like a paragon of subtlety and restraint:

Wow.  And to think I called her the "New Madonna (not Our Lady of course).  She's worse than Madonna.

We had a family game night last night, I can see that it was a much better use of time.

  • Me too, Mabel.  I deliberately avoided it, primarily as BTNYC noted, it's purposeful satanic nature.  Ditto award shows.  They are designed to give glory to satan.  Anyone familiar with Fɾҽҽmαsσɳɾყ can see the images, such as the fallen "Christian" girl, Katy Perry, now a whore of babylon, the whore who rides on the beast (her entrance). These are very sick, very evil people.

  • She stated in an interview one time that she had "sold [her] soul to the devil"; she's deeply into the occult.  Every single major performance (Super Bowl halftime, grammy awards, etc.) for the past 10-15 years has been an occult ritual.  Stay away from all that junk.  I won't watch any of this nonsense, not ever.

  • I found out from my daughters that not only are a majority of the girls at their Traditional Catholic school Katy Perry fans, but that even a couple teachers openly talked about how much they liked Katy Perry.  So I had to fight my daughters off, telling them that I don't care what these people think, we don't listen to Katy Perry, and we're not going to be watching the Super Bowl.  This leaves them confused because I guess we're more Traditional than even Traditional Catholics.  It's akin to what Bishop Sheen used to say, that you're better off sending your kids to public schools where they would need to fight for their faith than to "Catholic" schools where it would simply be taken from them.

There's a little embedded YouTube video in there which has a clip of the interview where she says that she sold her soul to the devil.  Just pay careful attention to the look on her face right before she says that and you'll see that she's quite serious about it and this isn't just a figure of speech.

Wow. I had never heard of her until recently, though I guess she is very popular. It only took me a few moments of watching her to tell that she was dangerous. Though I do have a TV unlike some trads, I never watch anything except for sports so I am not up to date on the news or entertainment.

  • I used to listen to rock and roll. I really liked Van Morrison. But I got rid of all my CDs when I became a traditional Catholic because I came to the conclusion that nearly all of the songs glorified sin so even if I liked the musical aspects of the songs, I could no longer listen to them in good conscience. I would guess that the newer songs are even worse than the rock and roll I used to listen to because society is going downhill fast.

This is, unfortunately, a similar attitude that I have experienced as well among so called "traditionalists".  This kind of garbage is extremely satanic and if anyone believes that it cannot harm our innocent children, or has no influence on them, they are sadly mistaken and naive.

Yes, I believe that many of these song lyrics are in fact occult incantations that are used to put curses on people and to ensnare them; the videos and public performances are rituals to  the same end.

I remember watching a video from a man who claimed that all of the recording artists were practicing witches and they put curses into their songs and consecrated their records to demons. The man was a protestant, but it was scary. I believe parentsfortruth posted it on cathinfo a few years ago if I am remembering accurately.

    Me too Matto...

I did a lot bad things before I realized how important my salvation was.  Blessed be God for the chances He gives us...

Yes I bet most traditional Catholics used to be great sinners before they converted, except for those who were lucky enough to be brought up in traditional Catholicism. Hopefully most of us will meet again in heaven and there we will find out which of us was the greatest sinner before our conversions.
