    • Never really knew much about him but I was doing a bit of reading today and learned, to my shock, that despite fighting heresies most his life he eventually embraced some. But the article didn't make it clear if he ever abandoned them again. Wondering if anyone here knows.

    • IMO probably just a material heretic.  There weren't too many Church doctrines that were formally defined in those early days, so there was a lot more latitude to slip into objectively heretical propositions without recognizing them as such.  At the end of the day, only God really knows.

    • I believe it is in Fr Parsons Church History V1 where he says the Origen story is complicated by the fact that( like Ramon Lull) there were TWO Origen's.  :cheers:
