My number wouldn't be that hard to obtain, I'm sure.

Someone called and asked for me by name -- I was a bit confused, as we were expecting a call from a family member. My wife and I both answered it, and since I didn't want to have two people on the line at once, I hung up. Well, the person said, "I guess he doesn't want to talk to me... ... bye." and hung up.

So he knew me by name (not a business/telemarketer) yet he was shy enough to not call back or send me an e-mail.

It's got me wondering.

If I wasn't so frugal, I'd hit *69 to call him back and see who it was :)

Our phone plan is *very* primitive -- no caller ID. Our phones are also primitive land line phones -- the kind that work during a power outage -- they don't have any LCD display.

I have a bit of a luddite side, though if you saw my office right now you'd laugh out loud.
