  • These (words) were in fact a quotation from a Medieval text which do not in any way express my personal thought," Benedict told pilgrims at his summer palace outside Rome.

What on earth does this mean? Did he apologize for his words, or because his words caused Muslims to go on the rampage. So, that is what they do, why? Because the Muslim faith by the sword had never wrought anything good. If he did not agree with this words, and wants to pretend that Muslims are saved too, then why did he say this at all to the people of the "Religion of Peace, The Muslims." Then, he wimps and blames it all on a long time dead guy. What is this? I don't get it.

  • But, what does it mean to say, that the views represented by the Emperor do not reflect his own? I mean the Emperor was correct. What does Bendicts doublespeak mean?
