  • Sounds like Tele might want to start his own forum.  Lord knows he's got time for it.  Maybe he could even start two!  :p
"Be kind; do not seek the malicious satisfaction of having discovered an additional enemy to the Church... And, above all, be scrupulously truthful. To all, friends and foes alike, give that serious attention which does not misrepresent any opinion, does not distort any statement, does not mutilate any quotation. We need not fear to serve the cause of Christ less efficiently by putting on His spirit". (Vermeersch, 1913).

If he were a troll as you say, I wouldn't have kept him around this long. I'm not stupid; I know what a troll is. Of course I don't want a troll on my forum. He "left you alone" *for months* which suggests it wasn't the only reason he was here. That's why he's still a member.

I don't agree with his "personal attacks on you" which is why I deleted most of them. I told you already: he agreed to cool it.

That's all you can expect of me.

You'll have to just accept it: I disagree with you about GGreg. It's not any of the cօռspιʀαcιҽs or disorders you can come up with using your considerable imagination.  I simply don't agree with you.

You have a real problem accepting that others can disagree with you and still be 100% proper and Catholic.

I only ban those where it's obvious I have to. I could list several current CathInfo members in good standing whom I'm not wild about. This forum isn't a Matthew's friends club or Matthew blog. That's how I like it.

It's a realistic cross-section of the REAL Traditional Catholic world. Do you think there are NO liberals in the real world? Come on. We all need to learn how to put them in their place -- even if they choose to hurl ad hominems at us. If we can't handle 0.5% liberals in the population, how will we ever handle the real world, where 50% (?) of the population is liberal?

    It's call battle practice.

I'm glad that you didn't do anything to Telephorus. Its ridiculous how far society has gone over so called racist allegations. People get fired from their jobs even if the allegation took place over the internet or whatever. The queen of England will put your name on a list and pretty much follow you around with for the rest of your life. They deem 3 year old children "racists" and ruin their entire lives over it...

    http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2037050/Racists-aged-THREE-Children-accused-bigotry-broccoli-head-calling.html

This sort of government needs to be destroyed. I don't care if some redneck runs around callin' people niggers all the time. Nobody should follow someone around and ruin their lives over it. A lot of times it is not even racist, but because someone perceives it as such peoples' lives get ruined. So ridiculous its not even funny. This racist calling game has gotta go.

If its one women I would knock the (*&(* out of it would be that one right there. What she is doing is mortal sin.

  • I am going to interject a comment.  People can take it for what it is worth.

In nearly every circuмstance, it is best to answer liberal criticism or comments exactly once and only after a short period of time, i.e., at least an hour after the comments made.  The answer should be complete and comprehensive--and that can indeed include an attack on the person who holds a liberal view because liberals are the problem both in society and in the Church.

After, one should usually ignore any further comments (and I don't mean the "ignore button", just simply ignore the posts).  People of good will do not change their minds about something just because one does not reply to idiotic statements.

The fact that this topic reached 10 pages in a short time is indicative that most of the people posting on it are not (1) stopping to really think over the commentary and/or (2) spending way too much time on the internet.

    Please shut up.

(For those new to the forum, Roscoe has been making this statement for the past three years, and I have responded this way for as long every time.  I meant it at first.  Now it is really a running joke.  At least that is my intention. )

    This is true.

There's racial supremacists.  Racial segregationists.  And other subcategories.

Racism is such a generic term.  I despise its inaccuracy.

There's something quite repugnant and pathetic in all this. I understand this is a Traditional Catholic forum, not a white supremicist forum. Correct me if I'm wrong.

I am seriously beginning to think otherwise...

It is a very real problem, and one that GGreg has some helpful things to say about. Even if he is pro-city, pro-sales, pro-wealth, liberal, and worldly.

You won't see Trad Catholics writing such "success" books -- so we're forced to learn how to be successful from worldly men. C'est la vie.

    I don't recall saying this.
Please ignore ALL of my posts. I was naive during my time posting on this forum and didn’t know any better. I retract and deeply regret any and all uncharitable or erroneous statements I ever made here.

    . . .

There are lots of Trads (not speaking about you, of course) who sit around and philosophize all day like so many aesthetes. They have a refined taste for food, clothing, wine, cigars, and dress like it's 1880. They don't work, because the job(s) they could get would be pretty embarrassing for an 1880's gentleman.

They are rich in intellectualism and education, and low on practicality and the ability to support themselves.

It is a very real problem, and one that GGreg has some helpful things to say about. Even if he is pro-city, pro-sales, pro-wealth, liberal, and worldly.

    Matthew,

I mean no disrespect, but this post contributes to negative stereotyping of trads as "losers" and "nutters" incapable of succeeding on their own talents.  It seems to me that saying trads are so lacking in what is necessary to be practical and to support themselves that they should even graciously accept training from those who are liberal and worldly (MODERNISTS) presents a very serious danger.  What kind of message is it sending to say that trads are impractical and can't support themselves and that modernists have better ways to impart unto them?  People naturally tend to emulate their teachers they perceive as teaching worthwhile information.  Do we want trads emulating modernists?  Also, how many modernists are going to be interested in gratuitously teaching a "nutter" trad to be a successful "nutter" trad.  I say by and large the ultimate unspoken goal is going to be modernization of the trad.
