This may seem a bit morbid:
Does anyone know much about the funeral industry? Specifically, what degree must one pursue to work at a funeral home?
Usually the corpse is first sent to a service center where the mortician will remove blood, organs, etc and pump the body with preservatives. Then the body will be sent to the funeral home where the people there will dress the body, apply make-up, etc move it into the casket, assist with the funeral, etc.
Question - are the two jobs of removing blood/embalming, etc and dressing the body/help with funeral at the funeral home really separate or do they require the same college degree and what duties one is assigned to depend only on the availability of jobs, what needs to be done when, etc.
