  • I know I'm a few weeks late on this, but what are your thoughts on Daylights Savings Time?  While I suppose it is nice to have some extra daylight to sit out after work in the summer, I really dislike changing the clocks twice each year.  It messes with my sleeps cycles, and it takes me a while to adjust.  I'd be fine keeping the clocks on standard time all year long.  I guess, as a compromise, we could simply move the clocks ahead one-half hour from standard time, and just leave it like that permanently.

    What do you think?

  • AZ doesn't move to DST  :applause:

Having grown up with the change I never thought much of it till I moved here, then I learned just how useless it is to have DST.  Not having it has not changed my life at all except to not have the irritation of having to change clocks twice a year.

Not that I'm in favor of DST (I really have no opinion one way or the other), but the 24-hour day is not divinely established, and God certainly didn't ordain when each hour would or should occur.  God did create the day, of course, but hours, minutes, and seconds and man-made concepts used for convenience to keep track of time.

This could all be solved very easily. The next time it is due to go forward an hour, go forward one HALF-AN-HOUR and leave it at that. Yes?
