I can't remember what else Ranlare has posted, but, if I recall correctly, I remember strongly disagreeing with a few things he had posted. On the other hand, statements Ranlare started this thread with are ABSOLUTELY AND UNDENIABLY CORRECT.
NO HUMAN BEING on this earth has less of chance of getting to heaven than any other. We all have thorns, as St. Paul called them. Job ended getting quite a few.
The disabilities that will get you are the ones that you don't know you have, and the ones you don't strive mightily to overcome for the love of God.
I was going to make a comment to this effect on the other thread on this subject, but this will do nicely. Let me repeat so that no one misunderstands me.

Don't misread me. I still insist that nulla salus extra ecclesiam. The door is always open, but it is necessary to come in. No individual or group is predestined to Hell.
