Prayers are needed for the repose of Darrel Winstead.  Late last week Darrel (aka SGT Winstead) died from a rock collapse at a coal mine in Kentucky.  I knew him from my time in the Reserves.  He was one of the good ones.  Always friendly and could carry on a conversation with anyone.  Someone called me last Friday but she did not say why she called.  I figured if it was important she would have called back or said why she called.  I texted her Sunday night but I received no reply.  Last night last night another girl I know asked why I wasn't at SGT Winstead's funeral and I was dumbfounded since I didn't know.  How wonderful, you don't find out about the death of someone you consider a friend until after the funeral.  He wasn't catholic, but you never know.  I always put hope in that a person makes an act of perfect contrition before death.
