Today I intended not to post here, but low and behold I find I'm the topic of discussion. I feel like I have to be here to defend myself against the lies and slanders being told about me by the obsessives like Raoul and these new members who have joined here calling me a "pedophile" etc.

I mean, people join this site, call me a pedophile, am I supposed to not respond to that?

If people don't want to talk about my situation they should shut-up about it. I'm here to defend my name.

Perhaps a short hiatus would do you good, Tele.

Take some time for yourself to think things over.

Read St. Francis de Sales' "Intro to the Devout Life" - if you've already read it, read it again.

Just unwind a little and think over the really important things in life.

The people who have called me a creep, slandered me, etc, called me a pedophile then made half apologies, they should not be posting on this board.

Are these the anonymous guest slanderers again? Probably the same fishes who came after you with Hell's fury who were previously banned.

I agree they should not be allowed to post if so. Perhaps a rule for the anonymous types that they are not allowed ANY ad hominems. If they are going to go there they should at least put a name to themselves.

Yeah, we all should be real cautious about these new members making comments attacking other members whom have been on here for some time. There seems to be an attempt to get people here at Cathinfo fighting each other; and to get some people to choose sides against another person(s). Don't fall for the instigation. What is important is we are members of the Mystical Body of Christ - the One, Holy, Catholic and Apostolic Church. That means we are brothers and sisters. Lets act like it.

Of course it's people from FishEaters, mostly. I understand why Matthew created the feature, though it has some major flaws.

I really would not take seriously anything people from FE say, however. I'm not sure, Tele, whether or not you remember when roscoe accused me of devil worship in June. At first I was ticked off. Then I thought to myself "Why do I care what this guy thinks of me? This is the same person who recommends that kids take drugs, that hasn't been to Mass in over 40 years, and has told lies about other people". He doesn't bother me anymore, as I have him on ignore. But an insult like that from a person like him is practically the equivalent of such an insult from someone like "Pope" Augustine II or David Hobson.

I'm not saying you shouldnt respond to their insults... my advice is to not take their slander personally. People who don't have the truth shouldn't really be taken seriously, and FE is not a very Traditional forum at all. There are SOME good posters there, but the forum as a whole is neo-Trad.

The anonymous post feature seems to offer the trolls a medium to personally disparage any Cath Info poster they want with complete anonymity and no fear of reprisal. At least when the trolls came here and went after Tele (and others) after he was banned from FE, we could tell who they were and Matthew eventually banned them, as it was obvious they were here for only one purpose.

This forum is turning into your personal Hell. I'm glad to hear youre trying to cut back. However, if Matthew doesn't start moderating this business, and soon, you need to leave for good.

And I'm sorry to say that. I and many others would miss your posts. But you can't spend your life defending yourself from these people. They are like caged dogs, barking at you, and to defend yourself you keep getting in the cage.

The bottom line is this place is becoming your personal hell, and unless something changes, you need to leave and never look back. Think of Lot's wife.

Matthew letting fisheater trolls game the reputation system and now slander people using the guest function really has been a big mistake on his part.

He should also have reined in richard and michael when they started to become obsessed with me.

I didn't read Tele's post as him saying he was leaving for good, just taking some time off.

Do people here know who you really are? If they are attacking a screen name, but do not know your real name, location, history, etc, then they do not really know you. Why worry about them?
