  • My recent experience with my rosary has got me wondering about how to develop poverty of spirit so that I don't have to experience such a feeling of loss again. I'm very attached to my religious items, books, and things I've collected over the years. Other things not so much, but definitely the things listed above. How do I break this attachment and get to the point where I don't feel like my possessions "own" me emotionally (short of selling everything I have, and just living with the bare necessities)?

  • Think Catholic Simplicity:  Keep one or two rosaries, a missal and a bible.  Leave extra books, supplies at the back of the Church so some one might pick it up.   Donate it to your chapel’s library.  Also, look up Legion of Mary to donate to them.  Donate to Catholic homeschoolers or co op.
May God bless you and keep you
